How would you guys feel about moving this year's 1st as the centerpiece to a youngish #1/#2C? Aside from the top-2, it's supposedly a weak draft (which will be way overhyped come May), so if they can do a top-5 protection on it, would yo be willing to move it, assuming there's a partner? Would have to be a top-6 center under 24 for me. |

i honestly don't think Ghost will ever have a season like his rookie year. The league has adjusted to him and he hasn't been able to adjust enough to overcome it. We even started to see that during the end of last season. - MBFlyerfan
I agree, but that doesnt mean he cant/wont be a dangerous high end offensive d-man..
Look, there are really only a handful of guys that can do that consistently, and thats over the course of the history of the league.
I think Ghost will bounce back next year or two and will level off around 50 points a year. Right now the whole team is struggling to score. We have a really poor combination of players, and that starts with the defense and the bottom 6. We have about 6-7 guys that should really be on the 4th line (Weise, VDV, Bellemare, Read, Raffl, Luby, Gordon). I think as we start to see more of the dynamic d-men pop up you will see Ghost settle into a role that will allow him to be more consistent in his game. |

We'll be lucky if we go 3-3 through this stretch. - mochoson
6 points with that schedule would be pretty good. |

It's unlikely he'll ever have a season that good, but his season so far has been disappointing. I think he'll average somewhere between the 2. |

I would be down with that as long as its a younger player...
A guy I have mentioned a few times is Mikko Rantanen.
Maybe even go really big and look for a way to get both he and Duchene.. |

Yes, but I don't think this year's first being the center piece would be enough for a top-6 center. |

Yes, but he is also a highly dynamic player in certain situations. He will/ should always be a staple on the first OT unit. He will stay at the dot on PP #1. The Flyers biggest problem this year has been their inability to sustain pressure with the puck finish with quality chances. |

San Jose has lost 3 games in a row, and allowed 14 goals while doing so.
What does that mean for tomorrow? |

Well, that's the rub. You'd have to have a team that wants a first but also will part with a young top C. Maybe Trocheck from Florida? |

Kamenev seems ready to come into his own, and again that Nashville thing.
Not sure if he projects above a 2C but there's one I guess. |

Sorry, I'm still trying to figure out why you were paying attention to Mason's glove on the third goal last night when the shot was along the ice. |
