I hope that they also ask how that fat dancing guy got a job doing stupid irrelevant interviews during games.

Agreed. Dude's gotta go!

My issue with Ghost being scratched (besides the whole multiple games thing) is that whenever he is inserted back into the lineup, he is stapled to the same dogpoop partner. If he has defensive issues, why pair him with a Manning or Del Zotto when they have had issues this year as well.

Why not try him with Provorov who can mask some of his deficiencies, or another play driver like Gudas where both will spend a lot of time driving offense.

I hope some of the folks who post here are actual season ticket holders. Their voices need to be heard.

I had a lot of fun last night despite the outcome and poopty seats. The Wells Fargo Center was packed it was a great atmosphere until the end of the 2nd.

I just feel that most of my questions would be asked by others. Since this year to me was a bubble (semi throw away). I'm more focused on the prospects and how they are coming along. They already have me locked in for next year again so it's next year that I'll probably be more interested in going.

I rarely hate going to a game even on the bad nights. My seats aren't great but I can see the whole ice which I like. I'm not just focusing on the puck like I have when I've been in the lower level and club seats.

Gotta haze the newbies.

In all seriousness, Manning is a poop partner for Ghost. They seem to want Provorov out there versus the other team's top lines so Ghost won't work well with him.

Personally, I'd reunite MDZ and Gudas once MDZ is healthy to use that as the "shutdown pair.". Then pair Ghost with Provorov and let them feast on lesser competition.

I went to the Montreal game and the building was dead most of the game. I had fun, but that was more because of the people I was with than the stellar performance turned in by the Flyers.

I had thought of that too but someone(I think jmachette) made a good point. You don't want Gostisbehere out there with your number one defender. Provorov right now is going against top lines and playing over 20 minutes a night.

I wanted him too. I like Dwight King as a bottom 6 type in UFA. Also is younger.

But the thing is I feel the flyers have plenty of role/bottom 6 type players in the system. Not sure I would want to spend real money on a FA when I could have cheaper in house options.

Corban Knight, Bardreau, Fazleev, Abel-Kubal all that could be bottom 6 types.

You know it's funny, when I was writing that I thought to myself, I remember someone here who was equally vocal or onboard with signing Boyle at the time and it must have been you haha. Very true about the players you listed, also have to consider maybe even Leier or Lindblom fighting for a spot. I guess I just view Boyle as good physical player to add to our toughness/depth. His role would be a good fit imo, but who knows if he'd have interest coming here being 32.

I'd rather see MDZ-Gudas as the shutdown pairing going against top lines. Then you could have Provorov-Ghost and MacDonald-Streit behind them.

MDZ has been all over the place, but if there's any hope of him getting back to last season's level of play, being with Gudas should help.

Sure. Not a bad point. But I also don't want Andrew MacDonald out there against opposing teams' top lines.

Yeah, I really like this idea. The MDZ Gudas pairing has shown to be successful in the past and I'd like to see how Provorov and Ghost play together.

I think Dwight King would be a solid move. Adds size. He skates well. Produces some offense. And he is 27.

Bill,

Would they bring up Greg Carey to maybe try and bring some offense with Konecny out?

Yeah they are similar players from size to contract to role to their point production. Only major difference is Kings younger as you said.
