Medical books in the wrong hands can lead to problems. Remember that Brady Bunch episode where Peter thought he had an awful disease because the pages of the medical book he read had two pages stuck together?

Also, there's no franking way you knew I'd say that. lol

- Scoob

I did know you'd say that, because I googled it on ScoobMD. Also, I don't watch Brady Bunch. I'm sure Peter was very stupid and felt embarrassed for his silly mistake.

We've had that discussion many times. You've been trying unsuccessfully since your first post on 7/19 2015. Thanks for the laugh.

Name ONE thing. Because you actually have never named anything nor can you, I bet.

For someone who never hesitates to write 1000 word responses that have been argued ad nauseum, you're awfully curt with this topic.

This tactic is not going to work. I guess that depends on your definition of what one thing is. I've spoken many times on this subject, and even offered evidence to support my views. You accuse me of never hesitating to write 1000 word responses that have been argued ad nauseum, then accuse of being curt. That's actually funny, since one, you frequently post long responses, and second, you know full right well that we have discussed this at length many times.

Here is one simple piece of evidence that supports my theory that NHL teams use analytics that are far more advanced than what we as fans have access to. Whenever you read an interview of a GM and the subject of analytics, and the interviewer presses the GM on specifics of what they use and how, they always decline to go into further detail. Why is that? If someone doesn't think that NHL teams have advanced analytics from the basic analytics that we as access to as fans, then that is being naive. Why do they hire people and have analytics departments for? Why don't they just log onto the all the available websites and just look at the data that is immediately available after games, and use the same info that fans use to come to same expert opinion that you offer?

I'm just saying that almost every doctor will use Google or webMD (or medscape, which is connected to it) and quite often. Of course doctors have other resources and a decade worth of medical training, but they use search engines and whatnot quite often too. It's not exactly a secret.

They don't log onto the websites. They just hire the people that run them.....you know people often with statistical and mathematical backgrounds.

Thank you for proving my point though. Your entire proof of evidence is that GMs don't talk about them publicly. Gee whiz. As opposed to everything else they're public and open about.

Why would they hire them, when they could've gotten what they posted on their website for free if teams are just using the same analytics? You only think I proved your point, when actually by posting that, you proved mine!

You're also ridiculously wrong that my entire proof of evidence is that GMs don't talk about them publicly. I've got plenty more, and from reliable sources. I notice though that instead of actually addressing the point I made, you dodge it and use your usual tactic. If you could, you would. Like I said, you've been trying since the day you joined. I only needed to offer one point. That was obviously enough.

The best part is that it's very smart stats and math people that were running websites that evaluated what happened with what we know as advanced stats.

All the NHL teams hire these guys...and then suddenly they supposedly get magic advanced stats that are so much better than before? They have a lot more time/money/effort that is put into what each team considers to be important and can break it into much more detail.

Would have to be an idiot to think they hire these people to search naturalstattrick all day and anything the NHL teams do doesnt make what is available on the internet wrong. Baseball adapted it quicker, because it's easier to evaluate, but the same poop happened
