Did any of the season ticket holders praise hak for curing insomnia via watching his "system" on a regular basis?

Ok so instead of saying people are saying on social media...maybe just question what he sees in AMAC that others don't seem to see and ask about scratching Ghost. those are questions being asked every day by flyers fans. not sure why its a waste of a question. How many people on here have questioned why accountability isn't across the board? so maybe her delivery wasn't the best but what she was asking wasn't so off the wall. I would like to see the whole Q & A. Bo has posted them in the past. maybe she will again if she attended
- nastyflyergirl

Well honestly, it really was. I think the issue is what some don't see, rather than what Hakstol sees. I've been watching MacDonald play solid hockey pretty much all season. I think some of the fans are the issue here.

Eklund throwing BOMBS.

I don’t think you are far off, but I don’t think they are scratching Ghost for his play on the ice completely…I think they are looking for his attitude to change a bit…some felt he came in taking too much for granted…I am not someone who thinks that AT ALL, but I am not scratching him… Ghost + Read + a pick would land Duchene, but I would be really afraid to make that move because Duchene is, like Giroux and Jake, very streaky…

I call BS on the attitude assumption. One thing about Duchene and inconsistency. All but the very top scorers in the NHL are inconsistent in scoring.

Same with the comment in Pannacio's blog. "I’ve heard from a number of people that Ghost’s confidence has been absolutely rattled". When I read stuff like that, I know I can completely discount it.

Long time reader and first time poster. Forced to post because I am fed up with the pro-management slant a lot of the posters have on here.

The organization has not won a cup in over 40 years. It is a results-oriented business like some here are so fond of saying, so it is fair game to criticize the way they do things.

That being said, I like Hextall's approach and he is doing the right thing by being patient. Build through the draft. Right now the biggest concern is the 1-C. If Giroux does not elevate his play, this must be addressed by Hextall at some point. That does not mean getting rid of Giroux. It means replacing his talent level from 2-3 years ago so this team can truly contend in a few years time. I don't see a way a player like this is acquired outside of getting lucky in the draft.

Also, it is not all on the coach, but there is a legitimate reason to worry. Hakstol has made some poor personnel decisions. I really don't like how he is handling Ghost in particular. It appears he is more of an old school guy rather than what I hoped we were getting: new blood that used analytics (key word: appropriately) as well as the eye test.

This group is on their 3rd coach and still show the same inconsistent level of play, game to game, period to period, that they have for years now. I will always criticize management more than the players but as a whole, this core is more responsible for their current level of play than any coach/GM.

Absolutely, why would a guy who has spent the last 20 years covering the Flyers know anything? Sure he spends his days with the Flyers players, Flyers management and other reporters, but he's just saying these things to get readers. Damn media! Remember when those media people were saying part of the reason the Flyers traded Mike Richards was his alcohol/drug use. Ridiculous! Can't trust the media!

You'll notice that Pannacio always writes about people he's heard from. He never actually provides direct quotes from those people, or tells us who those people are. I'm curious as to why. Drama, drama, drama!

“There's a lot of lessons that young people have to learn,” Hextall said. “We've all gone through it. I've gone through it; you go through it with your kids. We've all got to learn lessons. This is part of the process of young players growing in the pros. That's all it is. ...

That was a direct quote from Hextall in Tim's blog. Does that not seem to suggest there is some off ice/maturity component at play here? Or just BS?

No, it does not seem to suggest that in my opinion. It suggests that he has hockey related lessons to learn.

How quick you moved off of the actual subject on to me. If your on the correct side, why resort to that? Why not discuss the actual topic? I don't need an answer.

There were some suggestions somewhere else that it may be his attitude this year. Either Hextall or Hak said if people approached things like Provorov, they would be fine. Might explain the scratching the day of his announcement as Philly Sports player of the year. Maybe his head's too big, and his game is suffering.

Either way, no one really knows what's going on except for the team. I choose to believe Hak and Hextall are not complete idiots. The full quotes of the town hall suggest both have the player's best interests in mind.

Funny that you don't like the pro-management slant but end on that last paragraph.
- dragonoffrost

Yes, I agree with the overall direction the organization is headed. Change takes time and Hextall is owed that much at least. Same with the coach.

However, there are some things the coach and the GM have done along the way that deserve criticism. This can be acknowledged while still favoring the general direction of the team. The siding with management on every little thing, no matter how apparent, is frustrating.

I know that sounds like conflicting opinions but it's really not.
