While I understand what you're saying, this is part of what they sign up for. There's no guarantee of where they'll be from one day to the next. Nobody is forcing them to live that way. It's their choice.

yeah.. if i were him i don't think i would re-sign with buffalo once his contract is up.

Compared to making 60+ grand a year in the minors the last few years to $650,000 or so min NHL contract. I'm sure he's ok.

I remember him being pretty good on faceoffs
But he's definitely a 4th liner
I think ppl got their expectations too high with the really good preseason he had

I think the plan was for him to clear waivers originally so that someone else (COR) could come up in his place. Once Nachville claimed Grant, it threw a wrench in that plan.
I dont think Murray meant to waive Grant only to play D-Lo in his place.

I'm sure a part of him knows he's a fringe player and just appreciates being wanted and getting a paycheck.

I am ok with this for maybe 3..4 more games while he gets back into game shape....but after that Disco needs to put him in the top 9 or GMTM needs to send to a team who will give him that opportunity

You can't play him on the 4th line though
If we were gonna put him in the 3rd, and bump down Girgensons...
then maybe it would've made sense
But Girgs is playing well,
and that probably wouldn't have sent a good message
Kid had been bounced around all over the place the last 2 seasons
He's playing well in this spot now, and deserves to stay there imo
