Bowey, Orlov, 1st would maybe get the Av's listening - Mordecai
Apparently the asking price went up. Avs want 3-4 pieces depending on what is offered. But you're right, I am sure they are listening to that for sure. |

I can see caps making a trade for Dan Hamhuis for a 3rd. - SRam19
Jim Nill would hang up immediately. Not happening. |

Part of the reason the Pens could afford Kessel was Toronto eating some salary. |

I think it's pretty clear that the Avalanche are looking for young top-4 defenseman in return for Duchene. I don't think they care about Vrana and a Russian goalie who is signed for a few more years.
My mans Fatmarsh gon' blow a gasket on this one - eichiefs9
A top-6 prospect and one of the best goaltender prospects outside NA? He's 2nd in the KHL (behind another rookie) in save %.
Not saying they are worth Duchene, but you're talking like Vrana and Samsonov aren't blue chippers. |

The big issue is cap space. A lot of raises next year are going to eat what's coming off the books. |

If they're determined to move Duchene, you'd think the offseason would be a better time to do it. |

wrong move in my opinion. big time acquisitions typically become role players. they should trade for more depth |

The Caps just don't have the pieces to make this move imo. Secondly, I do not believe they are interested in making such a move. The Caps have already stated publicly Vrana will be on the NHL roster come playoff time and Samsonov very well may be their goalie of the future. I just can't see such a move. |

was never willing to spend money on d which cost him his job and caused his understudy to sign Niskanen and Orpik as his 1st 2 decisions. Caps only pressing need is bottom pairing d, if somebody gets hurt and Chorney has to play in playoffs we're screwed |

Many Caps fans wanted a Kuznetsov for Duschsne swap a month ago. Thankfully Caps didnt listen. Colorado would have jumped all over it |

Caps best offer would be MarJo,Bowie and a 1st. Legit 2nd line center top D prospect and pick and lines up salary wise. Im sure teams can beat this offer |
