Can't think of a team waiving their 2nd line centre and 4th highest scorer in a long time. Knowing his past, I'm not surprised, but I bet Montreal grabs him and he has 20 great games before falling away again.

Motivation wise also kinda helps when GM says team has "contractors" right now and when compared to the Cardinals who only have "team" guys. Said Cardinals mantra is contractor guys get shipped out.

Not sure if its him being showcased, or if its actually he's getting the PP and top line minutes he wanted all along (that Myers was getting).
He's been a 22.5 minute shutdown d-man for 4 years now. Now he's getting top pairing d-man assignments not just on the PK, but at even strength and on the PP.
Since Dec. 27:
His last 18 gp, he's over 25 min/game and has 15 points 3 goals 12 assists
Hopefully the Leafs grab him for the 4th line.
