Fox was always one side. CNN is a global organization. It teeters in the middle but can be judged leening cause of its role to be a critique of government. Anyway we got hockey to argue about. See how that has no consensus.

Should the Nucks sell? Should they tank? Is JB's plan to develop team by playing meaningful games better? JB doesn't see any difference in talent of top 20 picks. Just past the top 3 more time to develop needed. Is any of this accurate?

This group sucks badly, last night Megna was the best player on the ice, Larsen is a disaster, give him to Vegas free of charge. The Sedins need to be smacked up the side of the head and then split up, Stecher, Tryamkin, Tanev, Edler wouldn't be 4-8 on the Sharks let alone 1-4 on the Canucks..

The saviour Horvat is a one man team...literally, does he know what wingers are..

Said it in Sept and I'll say it now, talentless team, that some how played above themselves even beating Colorado.

They weren't in the game last night, SJ stood back and said lets watch this AHL club and see if they can do anything and then when they had enough watching they put on a tiny bit of pressure and the defense played Benny Hill.

I just have no idea who this guy is.

He is the spare part defenseman that Edmonton traded Hall for

The only thing about that picture is that someone has to sit there... frame by frame and decide that was the best one.

They captured the exact moment when Trevor was thinking "holy (frank), do we even have a plan B"

At least this disaster is entertaining.

Adam Larsson had 9 points in 37 games in his draft year. Liljegren has 5 points in 18 games. After 2 months with Mono. Contributed to why he didn't make the World junior team. He was recently just recalled to the SEL btw.
http://thehockeywriters.c...-similar-to-drew-doughty/

I don't think he would make the NHL next year but certainly could come over and play in the AHL for a year.

- manvanfan

Liljegren.

SHL, 37 games, 10 pts at 16/17 years old.
SuperElit, 38 games, 28pts.
WHC-17, 6 games, 5 pts.
WJC-18, 7 games, 6 pts.

That's pretty darn elite for a kid his age.
He has also been labeled the hands-down best skater in the draft

He played the majority of 2015-2016 season split between the World Juniors and the SHL as a sixteen year-old.

This season as a 17 year old, the vast majority of his games were/are played in the SHL, he was loaned out for 14 games to the relegation leagues due to his bout with mono.

Simply put, he's faced far better competition then anyone else in this draft.

- Whiskey-Tango

Sure he has played against men. He hasn't done anything. He should be playing in North America against kids his own age. There is a fair bit of risk drafting a kid playing in mens hockey. The world juniors always provides a chance to see the prospects against their peers and unfortunately he was beaten out by a 16 year old

Actually, every time I land in Calgary, on my way to work, they have a huge Flames store in the airport....it's never really grown on me though. Would you like me to pick up a Monahan sweater for you and a Bennett sweater for Vantel?

Don't forget the Burrows is where offense dies.

He can't make the SEL or world juniors he is definitely not making the NHL next year

Edit. Beyond his bad year so far, I just don't understand the hype from watching highlights of the kid. He isn't close to Juolevi in my opinion. Let's draft a skilled center

- CanuckDon

He looks more like John Klingberg than Doughty. Liljegren got a deadly shot but in terms of size, speed and mobility is quite similar to Stecher. If we were to draft a D, or possibly get a 2nd, higher 1st pick, Cal Foote is the guy, but we need scoring first and foremost.

I usually don't read Botch but his headline caught my interest today.

I didn't find it too critical but it makes you realize where we stand. Makita's rant isn't far off what Botch was writing .

This team does need a makeover . Yes there are young players coming up and we need to be patient, but there is a lot of deadwood still remaining here that needs to be cleared.

Hansen is an interesting topic. I love the guy and he is one of the best players on the Canucks. That is the problem. He should be a third liner but he is the best of a bad crop.

As Canucks fans we get too attached to mediocrity .47 years of failure has blinded us.

There is a lot of heavy lifting to be done but it will come.

Some tool keeps repeating "patience". Having patience doesn't mean you accept a pile of poop that's put in front of you.

Leafs and oiler fans were told to be patient while poor management teams (frank)ed around for years. I don't want my team to be on that same, unnecessarily long timeline.

How does that make any sense?

So a kid playing against kids is a better bet then a kid, who at sixteen, was playing a top 4 role against men?

The reason he did not make the WJC is because:
A) he was sick.
B) he was sick.
C) Dahlin is amazing but guess what, he hasn't even played a single game in the SHL yet where-as at his age, Liljegrin was...

By your rational, i guess that makes Dahlin a bust as well lol.

I'm more left than right but CNN has gone retarded. They started to insert adjectives in their presentation of the news regarding Trump. Fox News and CNN have definitely picked their sides.
- bloatedmosquito

Mainstream media is now one giant propaganda machine for the deep state. The election, the wars, the Russiaphobia... all giant misinformation campaigns. People think their news down there isn't state funded but outlets who have the direct ear of the WhiteHouse gets funding from the CIA. The Washington Post took two $200M grants from the CIA in 2015. They are the biggest criers over "state sponsored" news outlets that they call fake news. Fact checking CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WP has become a fun game on facebook. If it has to do with their wars, Russia or Trump... good chance it's misinformation over fact.... way more often. Even if it's a simple quote, you catch them completely re-writing it. And East Allepo... that was so tilted. It was just more of the same like when they pushed WMD down our throats so they could invade Iraq back in 2003.
