Most scouts tend to compare him to Drew Doughty.
He's also one of a select few who could make the NHL as early as next season.

Definitely not what this team needs...

- Whiskey-Tango

He can't make the SEL or world juniors he is definitely not making the NHL next year

Edit. Beyond his bad year so far, I just don't understand the hype from watching highlights of the kid. He isn't close to Juolevi in my opinion. Let's draft a skilled center

He is from Chilliwack unfortunately. Maybe they don't have schools? He was probably home schooled

I'm more left than right but CNN has gone retarded. They started to insert adjectives in their presentation of the news regarding Trump. Fox News and CNN have definitely picked their sides.
- bloatedmosquito

Fox was always one side. CNN is a global organization. It teeters in the middle but can be judged leening cause of its role to be a critique of government. Anyway we got hockey to argue about. See how that has no consensus.

Should the Nucks sell? Should they tank? Is JB's plan to develop team by playing meaningful games better? JB doesn't see any difference in talent of top 20 picks. Just past the top 3 more time to develop needed. Is any of this accurate?

The only thing about that picture is that someone has to sit there... frame by frame and decide that was the best one.

We need speed & skill. Thats not Rasmussen.
Better off with 1/2 dozen other prospects to pick from.

- Nighthawk

Rasmussen definitely has skill. He's not known for his speed but he's not slow. Just not enough of it to go as high as 4 for example... maybe a 8/9/10...

Adam Larsson had 9 points in 37 games in his draft year. Liljegren has 5 points in 18 games. After 2 months with Mono. Contributed to why he didn't make the World junior team. He was recently just recalled to the SEL btw.

I don't think he would make the NHL next year but certainly could come over and play in the AHL for a year.

I have said all year I don't have any insight at all on any of the aside from Hirshier .

I couldn't tell you who to pick . Jim has my blessing to go solo this year he doesn't need my help

Did you give Dragon his scouting assignment? He's got us covered.

CNN made the decision last year that they were losing horribly to FOX and even MSNBC. The only path to profitability was to match Fox in their obvious one-sided handling of things. But I think many people were very disappointed with this. It was like they identified with CNN as a middle of the road, fair station so they had a lot further to fall... and did so brilliantly.

Let's stack up what he has said.

Not asking players to waive NTC
Not buying rentals
Not trading picks
Not selling either want to play meaningful games

"Riding out these players to develop. Play meaningful games and hope to make playoffs."

So what's left to do as far as make a trade?

- Nuck4U

He did say "if we make a trade, it will probably be a D".

There is that...

Okay,
Erik Karlsson in his draft +1 season had 10 points in 45 games in the SEL. Was a PPG in the U20 junior league in his draft year.

To be honest, I'm not to concerned about the lottery odds as long as we get into the top 5, the consensus being:

1.Patrick.
2.Hischier.
3.Lijlgren.
4.Vilardi.
5.Mittelstadt.

Any one of those guys would be a home run. This would be an extremely bad year to be picking 6th and over

- Whiskey-Tango

Canucks would be set up pretty good down the middle with any of those C.

Top 5 also gives you the option to trade that pick for a need if the players available do not 'fit' your plan. A top 5 pick in any draft is worth a lot when you're wheeling and dealing.

I got a bad feeling we'll be picking in the teens.

So you are driving the playoff wagon now are you? I knew the circle jerk was all in your head(via your mouth).

He played the majority of 2015-2016 season split between the World Juniors and the SHL as a sixteen year-old.

This season as a 17 year old, the vast majority of his games were/are played in the SHL, he was loaned out for 14 games to the relegation leagues due to his bout with mono.

Simply put, he's faced far better competition then anyone else in this draft.
