yeah, some posters on here are pretty depressing with their, 'realism'...
why wouldn't the Nux get better next season when they have young guys who's game is only going to be that much better next season, Horvat, Tree, Stecher, Hutton, Baertschi, Megna, Chaput and probably some other rookie who ends up cracking the squad or a guy like JV who needs seasoning in the AHL before making the jump. - kaptaan
before anyone loses their shiite, i included megna and chaput for fun... gaunce will probably be gone... maybe Sbisa, which is why i didn't include them in the improved category. |

We picked 4 times in the 1st round over three drafts now. Two top 6 picks. I'm wondering when this get realised?
Patience Lefty. - boonerbuck
I follow that but others don't seem too. It's all because the Sedins didn't get traded and we have some players over 30 that the screams for rebuilding are made. As if it's not happening. Oh plus a few 2nd rounders, some from previous trades of vets, were moved for young players. That's regarded as retarted to the concept of rebuilding which must be done solely through the draft. No development otherwise is recognized. |

Don't forget Granlund plus prospects OJ and BB who got a legit chance to make the roster next season. I would even stretch this out to Guddy being under 25 and able to adjust to team and Western conference. After recovering from injury he will have a better impact on the team.
Maybe even Rodin who should be preferred over Chaput and Megna but hey it's all fun and games in The Who's got a chance to improve the team guessing game. |

Enjoy the morning people. It's game day and we got new fodder to discuss. Like who's in the line up. Where will they play and why. This will probably be overlooked by the usual it's going to be a reality check for this sad sack team and it makes no difference type of postings. Though it's nice that they actually play the game to determine the outcome instead of run a simulation.
Bubble race got tighter. Kings have stepped up to surge ahead. Flames surprise and Blues sing their woes. While Jets and Stars say we are still relevant. Okay Nucks time to pay the piper. Eat or get eaten. |

lols, yeah, i forgot about Granlund and Rodin if he ever gets healthy... Guddy will get better with a better understanding of his d partners and a full training camp.
BB and OJ probably have another year before joining the club... not everyone does what Laine has done... |

yeah, i guess some ppl think that having a second rounder instead of Baertschi would be better, even though he's been very productive for the team and only getting better... but you know those 2nds, nothing like 2nds. |

How about they just shut the forums down then? What's to discuss if you don't discuss what's happening with the Canucks and around the league? - LeftCoaster
if it takes getting a McDavid, Laine, Eichel, Matthews to make a team competitive then no one's going to be getting up off the mat until they draft in the 1 or 2 slot...
Canucks are trying to make it happen with being as crap as Leafs and Oilers were for years and years... |

I seen three picks that I would love Canucks to get so if we lose the next stretch of games and drop to bottom ten then that is okay. I am still cheering that they win every gam to bug Red and Lefty though |

We aren't the only franchise to make head scratching roster decisions.
Philly scratches Ghostisbere (sp?) and Konecny. In comes Nick Schultz and Dale Weise... |

Gostisbehere is a defensive liability and Konecny has been struggling. Flyers scrambling to stay.in contention. |

I think that goes without saying. But I think it also goes without saying that Schultz and Weise are inferior playing (even on bad nights) to Gost and Konecny |

By most accounts Gost has sucked goat balls this season. Was a healthy scratch earlier this season. Dale Weise is a Hockey God. |
