No one makes you watch the.Canucks or come here to read about our fantasies for this team.

Heh heh be nice now.
They haven't had their own hockey to watch since 8 tracks.

Imo who cares about cups won in the 50's and 60's when there was 6 teams or whatever ...it's like being the top student in the slow kids group of 5/6

I'm more impressed by the Hawks, wings, Devils, Avs etc who have won multiple cups since the 90's expansion

- Redmile247

Meh. Who cares about cups 20 odd years ago? (frank) that. After 2010. That's when it really counts.

Who cares about cups pre entry draft era either.
At least teams that won in the modern era had 4 rounds to win the hardest trophy in sports on this continent.

Seriously 1990? That's nearly 30 years ago. Who.gives a (frank) about that? At best, I think salary cap era should be the only cups we care about. Wipe all previous ones off and deny they even occurred.

Only then, can we move forward as fans of hockey

That's the Leaf model doesn't apply to other teams. Let's see if it works for you first on getting anywhere. Meantime this club is working on its next chapter of success.

Does a team full of rookies ahead of your team constitute "anywhere"?

Well trying to squeeze some magic outta Gilmour & Roberts &
Niewendyk smacked of desperation. Lanny was a grateful to move on.
Sure everyone gets a clean slate cuz the Leafs want it so. How convenient lol
Leafs couldn't buy a cup so lets forget all about it huh

Hank? Henrik Sedin? You don't think he was projected to be a number 1 centre when he was drafted? It's that what you're saying? Are you sure about that?

Just so we're clear, you think Bo Horvat's comparable is Henrik Sedin, because they just.... approach the game the same and never give up?

Sedin led his Swedish elite team in scoring (top 10 in the league) at 18 years old. 13 points in 7 games at the WJCs. He was clearly ahead of his peers at that age. One of these things is not like the other.

Obviously you don't get what is being compared. Players who were undervalued or overlooked as being able to do more. But did elevate their games through sheer work and determination.

I thought that's what you guys wanted? To deny certain teams won certain cups?

Either we're all in or we're not.

If we're doing post expansion it's gotta be 2000 when Minny and Columbus joined.

Ahead? How so? Plus, no bubble status isn't doing something. Just like you brag about what the Leaf model and how it's only that way or no way.

I consider expansion to the point where its 4 rounds to hoist the mug.
Number of franchises is irrelevant.

Well that's a strange thing to say.

Anywho, given my age I consider anything pre-1990 ish irrelevant.

Given my location of habitat, I consider anything pre 2004 ish irrelevant.

I've never seen a Canadian team win a cup and since I've been told it doesn't count if I didn't see it, we're all in the poop pile together.

uhh, well, for starters, despite the fact that the majority of the Leafs core is under the age of 23, they have more points in less games. Their pts% puts them just outside the top 10 in the league, and the Canucks are bottom 10.

Is there some sort of mythical way the Canucks are ahead that I'm not aware of?

Well i saw Keon lead the Leafs in '67.
Then Ballard & his cronies screwed it up royally.
Bill Wirtz must've read his book.
