Seen these names. Wonder if Tree has any influence over the KHL guys wanting come here? If any of these guys can improve bottom 6 that is a step in the right direction. - Nuck4U
well he could tell us what he thinks about them for sure. Maybe he can call them and get them here too if theyre good. |

Looks like Dorsett has been placed on LTIR. Wonder if Benning needing cap space for an upcoming trade? |

What a surprise. No Sportscenter highlight of Horvat (even tho he scored) yet we see all u can eat Matthews. Even Matthews messing up the puck control relay.

btw I saw a documentary on CBC maybe 2 months back on Isis. I showed where they started in the iraq war as POWs imprisoned by the US and tortured. THey banded together and vowed to take down those that did this to them.
What was more interesting was that they said that sadam hussein never allowed terrorist cells to exist in Iraq. He would take his army in and destroy them, thus protecting the rest of the world from them. When the US took him down these cells were able to flourish and cause harm on the world. Gives you a different view of him.
So in a way the US did this to themselves and the rest of the world. - SMBDragon
Anyone that was a threat to his power, in his own country was dealt with. This included media, scholars, religion and anyone that got on his or any member of his family's nerves.
Anyway, hoping to see some Bo highlights in CS's new blog. |

A couple more potential picks. Cordell James could be a FA signing. - Reubenkincade
Like him. Good pick up for Comets. See what he could do. Maybe a good role player for 4th line?
I see some second rounders could get picked up here for potential scoring.
All this is good for increasing depth on call ups. Still JB will have to find someone that can be developed into impact player. A future BB somewhere out there? Just harder to get a surprise for juniors as they get looked at a lot by scouts. |

YES and yes. Power vacuums with no stability was the point I believe. Wonder if Bo will have more confidence now to do more in a game? Maybe WD gets Hansen back and gives him a scoring winger. |

Keeping options open I guess. Just hope it's an upgrade in youth player that is exempt for Vegas. JV aged on a farm team that needs an opportunity. Prefer getting back draft picks for moving Canuck Vegas exposed players. |

Horvat on his experience at the All-Star game...such a great thing for him and it'll only build on his already outstanding character!
"But I think the biggest thing, I was telling my dad this earlier, was that I didn't have to introduce myself, everyone knew my name. To have all the greatest players in the world know your name already and know who you are is pretty incredible." |

About the political / dictator stuff. Having married a filipina, you hear all about Marcos. Was he that bad? Wifey has friends that lost family members, they just disappeared. and other friends that did well under the same dictator. people pick sides. and the 'right or wrong' side is always open to debate. (and I didn't read half the earlier discussion, which has never stopped me from putting both feet in my mouth )
and of course, looking forward to all the rumours of moves and the disappointing reality of fewer than hoped for. |

I get the Tryamkin boners going on these days, but he was a young and below average defenseman in the KHL for the majority of his time there, even playing in the Russian junior league during the '14-'15 season. I highly doubt he has much influence, he isnt an Ovechkin, Tarasenko, etc. |

I saw that on twitter, has to be the coolest feeling to be around today's best and the NHL 100 and not need to introduce yourself to them. He's a guy you feel good for |

Maybe 1 of these guys to help fill a hole.
Edit: Tryamkin played.for the Locomotive team that 2 of these players play on. - Reubenkincade
Get as many as they can, see which ones pan out and sell the rest off for picks. |

Star power is the ticket IMO, if Tree keeps growing in the way that he is he might draw players. It doesn't hurt to have some countrymen, I hope Canucks continue to keep drawing from every direction as they seem to be now. The lineups as diverse as it's ever been and starting to look more well-rounded in terms of size and speed. Just need scoring! |

I just meant that I dont think Tree is a household name in Russia right now, so likely doesnt have much more recruiting pull than an agent or GM would. Not to mention his treatment hasnt been all sunshine and lollipops, hes been given tough love which I think most dont appreciate until several years later |

Hard to say how he feels about management at this point, seems they challenged him and he responded well. I agree he might not have loved it. I'd like to see a Russian scoring winger, call me nostalgic but we've had some luck. |
