Gaudette and Mckenzie have been great.
Lockwood has been ok.
I thought Utica would have been much better this year with Carcone and Laplante and Labate. They all showed great signs in rookie camp and have kind of gone cold.

He has been great. He had a great shot at making the US junior team until he got injured.

I am higher on Tryamkin than most I think. I think for his size/speed/physicality, he is an absolute GEM of a pick. JB does not get the credit he deserves over picking him in the 3rd round.

I hope his shoulder, or w/e makes him look uncomfortable after making a check, heals...

If Mittlestadt and Liljegren slipped out of the top 10. That's a steal. The other 3 will proabaly go below 15.

I am a little leery about slip n sliders. I know these kids are good, but I think historically (based on my memory only) risers do better long term than those who fell in their draft year

EDIT: This year I guess may be the exception as there appears to be little consensus on a draft order

Let's not forget about Tryamkin...or does he suck because we lost last night
- CanuckDon

If hank would have passed him the puck when he was wide open instead of saying nah I will feed my brother, man I was mad watching that.

There's a Finnish Defenseman named Salo projected to go early in the second

Boeser fell a few spots.

Kopitar dropped on draft day and we passed on him.

OJ was a late riser.

It was supposed to be a quick profit so I could afford 7's tickets

Joke, I have been stuck with the stock for years

I took my son last year, we were there on the Saturday for a few hours in the afternoon, thought he had a good time, I did anyway, good energy with a good crowd and some crazy costumes... kid is 17 and when I just asked him if he wanted to go again, it looked like I asked him if he wanted a root canal.

(is it okay to call him a millennial?)

Yup.
Yesterday was spent worrying about who the Canucks might face in the first round of the playoffs and today it's , fire Willie, Benning sucks, I quit being a fan because Larsen is playing tonight and publicly execute the 4th line.

I just hope we walk away with a top end player no matter the position. We have prospect depth but almost no top end prospects other than Boeser maybe OJ.

My order.. Patrick, Hischier, Liljegren, Mittelstadt, Vilardi, Rasmussen, Tolvanen, Tippet... if picking 10 any of petterson, necas or poehling not sure who is best

- mauryballstein

Liljegren swap Tippet with him and I like the list

Perhaps 17 is too young...Does he play rugby? I went with a pack of 15 hooligens in costume and it was a blast

I dont mean falling a few spots, particularly after 15 its hard to project those numbers perfectly. I was mostly referring to those who are potential top 5 picks falling outside the top 10, like a Grigorenko for example

Lol take it easy.
Its more the case that those guys, including Popagaev, won't crack the top 15.
Suzuki and Yamamoto likely won't make the first round.

- Whiskey-Tango

Have you looked at any draft previews? I haven't seen Yamammoto below 15 on any draft board and I've looked at a lot.

Don't forget the intangibles, JB loves intangibles.

I do stand corrected, i have seen him quite a bit as well.

That said, quite a few of them add connotation's such as:
"Small, fast and full of creativity. He Won’t be selected nearly this high in the NHL draft, but when it comes to pure fantasy potential, he has loads of it".

If we are being realistic, i think a majority of GM's will be apprehensive about taking a 5"8, 160 pound forward in the first round. The league is changing, but still.....

Anyone know what the future consideration is that we get from Carolina for Fox?

yeah, he might be too young or too sheltered, a bit too serious maybe.

He and I never played. Still thought it was a great time with plenty of action. I have no idea what all the rules are but can see plays develop and the players are going at it.

I thought it was a very fun crowd, and the hooligans were relatively behaved and having a good time with everyone else.

Agree that by his physical stats, he seems like non-first round player. Ennis is the highest drafted small guy I can think of recently and he was 26th OA. Gaudreau and Gerbe were later rounds

And yet Benning couldn't even get that through.

IMO the size is the only reason he isn't top-5. More and more we are seeing small skill guys make the league now that so much of the player's safety and the end of the clutch and grab has been around for a while.

Hawks fans be talking about how Forsling would be the center piece in a Duchene trade.
