You mean to tell me that we no longer employ Dane Fox?

I am done with this current management. If they can't properly develop young talent and let them go for absolutely nothing. Then we are fracked.

41 points in 41 games in the ECHL. Minus 14.

Personally im hoping for a center or Dman that can carry a team offensively prefer one that plays the right side after taking OJ last year and having Hutton, Brisebois and Tryamkin who plays both sides. If nothing is really left on the board of value id go with a left Dman or high scoring winger. We lack size up front so that would be a nice add. Isaac Ratcliff in the 2nd round would be solid.

Colorado is an absolute dumpster fire so no chance we finish below them, Arizona has been playing much better the last couple of weeks and could make a small push but likely I think we draft between 3-10 with our schedule after the break.

- mauryballstein

I want a centre obviously. I think we are set up pretty good for D. I don't see a #1 in reach... if there is even one to begin with. LW is my second choice.

Gaudette and Mckenzie have been great.
Lockwood has been ok.
I thought Utica would have been much better this year with Carcone and Laplante and Labate. They all showed great signs in rookie camp and have kind of gone cold.

- Codes1087

Lockwood plays on a team that cant score. Hes actually one of the top scorers on the team so might just be his team. That will be an interesting pick because there was some nice players taken afterwards.

so now that we may draft anywhere from 5-15, what do peoples wishlists look like now that were picking somewhere in the top-middle of the draft.
Here is mine:

1. Middlestadt-started following him after he was recommended by Don, seems really good up the middle and may or may not be around when we pick.
2.Popagaev -inconsistant. Reminds me of watching Malkin when he turns it into high-gear though 6'6 and mucks around as well as a heavy shot.
3. Yamamoto-if he wasn't small, he'd be in the top-5 for sure. Silky smooth and really nice shot.
4. Liljegren- if he slides to us, I hope were the team that takes him. Similar story to Chychrun, who I'm sure many of you noticed last night is pretty solid for a 19 year old.
5. Suzuki- A little undersized (5'11), but loads of skill and speed up the middle. We don't need another 2-way center, we need a dominant scorer and this might be it.

Maybe this is WHL bias, maybe I just always wanted to see Kariya in a Canucks jersey (that's not a maybe actually). I hope JB goes big on pure offensive type.

I think we have lots of good D prospects but we are lacking a doughty, keith type. Only player in the top 10 I would take over a center would be liljegren. If picking about 15th (which im sure wont happen) Id be okay with Foote, Makar.

I dont really like any of the wingers in the top 15 other than Tippet RW and Tolvanen who is LW but is small. Since we have Boeser, Virtanen, Lockwood and are stuck with Erikson I dont think a winger especially RW is important in the 1st.

One bad game and the wheels are falling off according to HB
- Bettmanhatesus

Yup.
Yesterday was spent worrying about who the Canucks might face in the first round of the playoffs and today it's , fire Willie, Benning sucks, I quit being a fan because Larsen is playing tonight and publicly execute the 4th line.

Lockwood has shown more of a scoring touch than he was pegged for leading up to the draft no? I thought early comparables were Hansen, who isnt really known for his goal scoring prowess

Also thought this was pretty cool post from Pronman's twitter:
"Underclassmen scoring by points per game among drafted players"

There's three players from WHL so I stand by my comment. It's more just having seen them both play. Both very, very good. If I had chosen only white players would you think I had a white bias? give your head a shake.

I just hope we walk away with a top end player no matter the position. We have prospect depth but almost no top end prospects other than Boeser maybe OJ.

My order.. Patrick, Hischier, Liljegren, Mittelstadt, Vilardi, Rasmussen, Tolvanen, Tippet... if picking 10 any of petterson, necas or poehling not sure who is best

Lol take it easy.
Its more the case that those guys, including Popagaev, won't crack the top 15.
Suzuki and Yamamoto likely won't make the first round.

If Mittlestadt and Liljegren slipped out of the top 10. That's a steal. The other 3 will proabaly go below 15.

Forsling was. Gaudette seems to be a great late pick.

Hard not to grab Liljegren if he falls out of the top 10 unless someone like Mittelstadt falls out as well.

I am higher on Tryamkin than most I think. I think for his size/speed/physicality, he is an absolute GEM of a pick. JB does not get the credit he deserves over picking him in the 3rd round.
