Virtanen appears to be developing more along the Anthony Mantha pace, who at 22 is appearing to be a regular in Detroit line up.

15 g-18 a 33 pts 64 games age 20 season.

He's a far cry from even those poopty numbers.

Jake is not really banging anyone right now. The best thing that has been posted about him in the last month is he always stands at the gate and high fives the players going out on the ice.

He has been very quiet . He did get a goal about two games ago.

Maybe just me but I think the shoulder still bothers him.

I really think so and to be truthful really hope so. Then he would have an excuse, because if not we made a big mistake

hahaha Vantal for the win....

Maybe Green is trying to get him to focus on his scoring and defensive game - we all know JV can lay the body, hes a big kid and we really need that up front. Point is, i'm routing for him.

2 goals- 5 assists behind that pace. Mantha was playing on a much more offensive team.

I remain optimistic.

I expected him to be better but I'm not willing to give up on him just yet #Bustanen

I think Green has a better grip on the situation than the posters here

Ya I kinda thought he would be good for 25 points this season in nhl never mind struggling to attain those numbers in the A.
Sometimes when the whole organization plays a certain style ie: Devils of yesteryear, offensive numbers aren't easy to come by.
