Draft and develop our own players. The organization doesn't have enough quality depth to start trading for really good young players. You do that when you're in a position to compete and or when you've built up a sizeable prospect pool.

For one, if you have a solid group of young players you don't need a massive group of veterans like the Canucks do.

Secondly, outside of the Sedins the Canucks have four good to decent veterans, the Yotes have three, hardly a huge difference maker. It's the Sedins that blind all you guys.

They have one year left on their contracts, and the, if they don't return, the Canucks become worse than the current of the Arizona Coyotes.
