You know you are a Canuck fan if

If you still keep old pennies and can't throw them out.

If you still have a mullet

If you still miss Frank Corrado

If you want to bring back Miller

If Linden is still in your top 4 all time Canucks

If you wish we still had Bieksa and Kesler.

If you think that moving Corey Schneider killed the franchise

If the Flying V is your favorite jersey

If you still chant Lou at the TV

If you say we were one game away

If you miss Tom Larscheid (yes Beatle John this one is you)

If you still cry about trading Garrison for a second.

If you still have a Pavel poster

If you still think Burke was our Best GM

If you still need to defend the twins if someone calls them a name

If you think Benning is a genius .

There has been a number of plays and moves that only a handful of players could ever pull off.

I'd have to research it but I don't recall two guys going 1/2 in the draft and becoming such great HHOF players like Malkin and Ovechkin.

When I was a kid my Grandpa was staying with us for a while. My Brothers, Grandpa and I all slept in the basement. The Laundry room had a toilet but it was broken. So Grandpa told us kids that it was okay to piss in the laundry sink. (instead of fixing the toilet) This went on for a week or so then my Mom was like the sink and Laundry room smell like piss. One of us said the toilet is broken and Grandpa said we could go in the sink... Grandpa got evicted that day.

I stand corrected, the 1971 amateur draft Lafleur and Dionne went 1/2 in the that draft.

90-94 pts my guess & go min 6 games or win in 6 or 7.

Nothing to do with a reality test.
I maintain it comes down to inter division & conference games.
Do they have the character & will to win those & get in the PO's?
Comes down to a total team effort due to our limited ability to score.
JB will see further how his team is doing & make moves to change it as needed maybe by the TDL or prolly bigger moves in the offseason.

Have a look at the Feb-Mar sched...no way we are making 90 pts

Amazingly, one of only 3 players other than Gretzky to win a scoring title during Wayne's career.

You don't know that .

Teams like Habs Flyers CBJ have all come back down to earth. Canucks usually always play to the level of the opponents.

Don't get me wrong I am not saying this team is definitely going to make the playoffs nor am i saying we are a bottom 5 team . We have been a 500 team all year and I think we will maintain that pace.

I do welcome a high pick but I am not sure it will happen

.500 is the new .400.

Only 4 teams in the league aren't .500 or better. 2 of them miss the mark by a combined 3 games.

The only real outliers are the Avs and the Yotes, which are the old .250 teams.

Just a feeling. Every time we have a legit shot to jump ahead of the WC spot we fail. I would love to see a legit run for the WC spot but this club is just to frail and lacks resilience to get it done. Plus the Sedins have got to the point where the league is passing them by. Just reality for me I guess.

It's the bullpoop parity program, designed to keep fans tuned even if their team isn't good. People cheering for 2 points tonight could be pissed down the road, or vice versa. 12 points will probably separate a wild card team from 3rd last.

I agree . The system gives fans hope longer in the year.

Last year I clearly wanted a last place finish for the Canucks. This year I was not on the tank wagon because

A ) The team still isn't ready to commit to full change
B ) There was no one on the draftlist that I thought was a game changer.

I think the top 5 are nice players in the Ehlers Tkachuck category and the rest of the top 20 are Boeser type players.

If there is a generational player available I am full in on it.

Leafs and Oilers this year are two teams making the biggest jumps . Neither team has deep mentorship and both are doing very good . Canucks need to learn from this and stop hanging on to the past.

There really won't be a large point separation between 16th and 26th. The bottom 4 will be a solid bottom 4. If it wasn't for loser points we would be there.

I would take three drafts where we drafted six players of the "ilk" of Ehlers and Tkachuk over one elite player. Hockey is a team sport and one guy doesn't/can't win it all for you.

Last season was ours to get a top player. I prayed hard for Laine. This year isn't the year and we might as well be competitive.
