I don't know man, after the first day it wasn't so bad because the ice cleared up. It sucked not having power or running water for nearly 3 days, but I never felt like I was in danger.
The biggest headache is that my wife turns into another child in times of crisis. You'd think some basic survivor skills would sink in but she literally could not take a poop without help. - golfingsince
Kids and dogs did ok?
Not quite the same drama as 1cm of snow on the west coast. |

Forsling was. Gaudette seems to be a great late pick.

Patience my friend. - Codes1087
This is the part that fries my ass.
The know it alls that scream our prospect pools sucks and the Canucks need to draft and develop when what they are really trying to say is we need to draft and find superstars now.
Screw the development. |

The Sedins are the ones actually holding the Canucks down . Not good enough to win , not bad enough to lose.
People here are screaming the need a top pick , yet you ask them to move the twins and oh man you can't ever do that , it wouldn't be right.
Sh1t or get off the pot - VANTEL
I think in one of Henrik's interviews on 1040, around his 1000 point game, he said he didn't see himself playing for another team...
as per the pot, I see them going out like Elvis... |

They earned the right to do what they want , but until they go the Canucks can not move forward.
They hold a high end salary and are producing middle range. We can not suck and get high draft picks because they keep the team respectable.
I can live with them still here next year but it is not helping the team. |

Edit : I looked it up , there was six and five of them played in the NHL |

Yes, I've deployed them to a hotel as my wife plugged the sceptic system. |

Ahhh i thought for some reason you were in the Toronto area.
For all my criticisms of Quebec, and there are many, I will say that Hydro Quebec is absolutely world class.
We get destroyed every winter by massive snowfalls, plummeting temperatures, winds and freezing rain, specifically in the rural areas, and there has not been a single instance in recent memory where they don't get the power up and running within 6 hours max.
They literally employ a small army that you can see rolling down the free-ways in massive convoys lol. Quite a sight to see
Nice to see my 40+ percent income tax at work lol. |

They had many people up and running the day after the storm, but the storm prevailed in some areas for another day. I think they have 90 % of the people with power now, just sometimes it takes longer when there are fewer people on your grid. I knew we'd be one of the last. |

I imagine that the storms in 98 had something to do with it.....Crazy to think that some were out power for over a month.
