Leafs are a dangerous team. When they're in their groove they're generating prime scoring chances every shift and they have a ton of skill to finish them with.
Need to get on Gardiner early and make things difficult for him. He's been their key since Rielly went down. The more they're forced to use Carrick, Hunwick and Corrado the better. |

Rielly is listed as active again. Thought he would be back after the ASB, but he could play |

I know you're talking about the sixers - YuenglingJagr
I still don't know which win was more surprising. Flyers never win at MSG. Sixers never win on the road without Jo |

I don't think he was ever placed on Injured reserve. Everything I've heard is he probably could play but they don't want to rush him and screw up his healing process before the ASB. |

Yup but to dismiss the fact that the Flyers played a great 3rd period in outshooting and outscoring the Rangers on the road doesnt make sense. - opeth_pa
It makes sense. They played a solid third period. No debating that. The issue still remains they very rarely put together a full 60 minute effort. That is one of the reasons for their inconsistencies. |

Yeah he was only DTD.
I see now it was just Yahoo that reported it, which is not a place I would consider a reliable source of hockey news. I think it is safer to assume he won't play |

Over on the Leafs blog it says that Reilly is skating, but the Leafs want to be cautious and give him the extra time over the AS break. |

It's an indictment on Hextall and Hakstol that the Leafs with their young forwards and mix-and-match defense are a much better PK team than us. |

Leafs have some terrific PKers. Zack Hyman, Komorav and Polak are excellent in particular. |

I hope Ghost recovers some of that confidence he had last season. One play in particular stood out to me in the third when a pass back to the point bounced on him and went out to the neutral zone. He was able to regain control of the puck pretty quickly with a Ranger coming on him....but he had time.
Last years Ghost would have skated it out of trouble or made a move of some kind. Instead he made kind of a panicky pass to no one off the boards at the blue line. Thankfully it didn't hurt them and, had he gotten a bit more on the puck it would have been the "safe" play, but thankfully a team mate was able to break up the Ranger who would have been able to skate the other way with speed.
He looks like a player afraid to make a mistake for fear he will be benched or scratched, and its hurting his game.
As I said yesterday, once he gets a better support support system around him, hopefully Hack lets him loose again. His creativity and boldness are what make him the player he is. - MBFlyerfan
Totally agree on this assessment. He seems to be playing scared and worried about being too creative to prevent mistakes. If we had better D depth, you put your most reliable defensive D man with him and let him be a rover.

This, and I blame that on the coaching staff. They need to just let the kid play. |

Agreed on the seeming inability to really play a solid full 60 min game..
IMO they will need just that to win tonight.. |

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if the Sixers can stay healthy, I think they can sneak into the playoffs.

When the Flyers were getting highend goaltending during the streak their PK climbed into the top 10.
I more blame the fact that for the most part this season Mason and Neuvy have been average at best then I do Hak and Hex. |

Yes. The way I see it is that he's lost confidence so he is trying to play more conservatively but it's not working for him. |

Absolutely. Leafs are playing good hockey. With Babcock, Shanahan, and Lamoriello in place coupled with all the high draft picks they have had they are set up nicely for success. I don't mind it. I think the NHL is a better league when the Leafs are good. |
