He has decent speed so hopefully he can utilize it. Biggest issue for me with him is how he defends in his own zone. Loses battles frequently around the net and down low. - Baxter27
that is what he was told to work on per the story I read. be awesome if I could recall where i saw it. old age |

That picture of Homer's dad makes me think he was not a person to be messed with, either. |

I hope he finds his way. I think he is a true example of the under 20 CHL/AHL rule having a negative impact on a player. He really found his groove in his year after being drafted and then went back and dominated offensively for another year with Oshawa. I think that's when some bad habits crept into his game. |

I repeat Trade bait...
He is down in the minors and should be dominating in any role and not being knock off puck or losing battles, this is not a recipe even for a bottom six role...

Weise was brought in to be PP2 net front guy and he can't break the lineup now. So coach has to find someone to fill that role. I'd bet if he used VdV this place would go nuclear.
Read, Raffl, or Cousins that's who he has unless he wants to put Simmonds out there for the full 2 and gas him. Read is too small really, Raffl could do it but he's better off the perimeter it seems so that points to Cousins. - dragonoffrost

I'm just sad that Sam Morin, one of our top defensive prospects, is not producing offensively at a high clip in the AHL. No matter how he's deployed, he should be dominating against these AHL scrubs. I say we cut ties with him now while he has any value left. |
