As long as he does something. Last year really pissed me off when he did nothing. Obviously this team is far from perfect, so, either make moves to improve it now (not recommended) or at least get what you can for the UFA's and improve for the future. My cat could do what he did last year. - WhirlingDervish
I think with Streit, Schultz and MDZ all on expiring deals, at least one will be moved. |

Your cat could have gotten assets back in a trade for Vinny Lecavalier on the condition that he'd retire at the end of the season? |

You don't plug holes until you've built the foundation. I get you don't have the patience for Hextall's plan but he hasn't lead you on to expect anything different. He has also created optimism that the upgrades this team needs are coming from within. I will hold him to that the next couple seasons but upgrading this team now to be much better than they are would be costly and counter productive. - Baxter27
I think we have a foundation. I want another top six forward but it doesn't mean I don't like our top six. I think our goaltending is trending in the right direction from years past. Just wanna fix the bottom six and get a PK specialist to help us stay in games. |

Hextall did not do nothing last year. He was able to move the Lecavalier contract to make the Flyers future cap situation better. |

I work at Rutgers in Camden, it's a great place to be. If you're ever in the area for a concert or aquarium, or just because, check out the whiskey and rum distillery right downtown: http://cooperriverdistillers.com/
Also some great food: Donkey's, San Lucas, Old San Juan, Corrine's - I could go on. The narrative of Camden being scary and unpleasant is so boring. Good things are happening there.
Go Flyers.

I think we should rule out the possibility that he owns Ron Hextall as a pet before giving him too hard a time about his comment |

The Flyers don't have the foundation in place to be a contender. Their defense is not good enough. If they can get one of those players without giving up any of the future, that's fine. |

It definitely is getting better from when I was at Rutgers Camden. I love seeing concerts along the river at the BB&T. I need to check out that distillery and have a shot for my cousin who passed at Christmas time. He went there often.

Here's some good news, if you didn't read it already. Be sure to check the twitter link at the end to see Sanhiem's 2nd goal. Oh baby

Enjoyed that article. One point from the article was about not selling the farm to create offense. It's amazing at how good Provorov is at not selling the farm to go on the offensive. Something else I took from the article is I liked what I heard from Gordon on how Sanheim needs to develop. |

I'll worry about the D when the kids come up and prove to be disappointment, which I do not expect.
Here is my general logic on the PK. Sean Couturier takes a penalty against the Islanders. Bellemare and Vandevelde are forced to kill a penalty for nearly an entire two minutes. Once the duo finally clear the puck, without Couturier and a tired Bellemare, Giroux and Simmonds are forced to take the ice. I think this exposes how thin we are on the kill. Funny thing is, I think Simmonds has been our best Penalty killer all season. He's been alert, blocking pass lanes nicely and dangerous short handed. Before this new era of horrific bottom six players, we haven't been dangerous short handed. In fact, the the Mike Richards era a side, the Roenick/Primeau/Gagne pre cap era was dangerous short handed as well. |
