I feel like Hexy and Hak are opposed to anyone that plays like this.. - opeth_pa
Don't think Chelios or Kent Nilsson are buying that when it comes to Hexy.

If he'd turned his back on the player, skated to the bench with his head down, and committed a few turnovers, he's have been called up. Because that's what "consistent" players do. - jmatchett383
Sadly thatis what HAKing is all about |

Okay, that's one, and Cousins is a semi-regular. What other young AHL players have earned more than a cup of coffee under Hexy? Manning, who got a chance because he was less dreadful than AMac in camp. Ghost, who was reluctantly called up (by Hexy's own admission) due to the Streit injury. That's what I can think of. - jmatchett383
Ghost got called up only after 20 AHL games.
The only really talented guys to spend a long time in the AHL are Morin and Hagg, and no one should be complaining about Hagg staying down after he had a rough 15-16. Letting dmen develop in the AHL worked well for him in LA, so it's not surprising he's sticking to that when possible. |

No, Hagg definitely deserves to be there.
Edit: Ghost was called up, but very reluctantly so. |

Maybe they dislike him as much as the average fan does.
This is not aimed at you cause almost everyone does it, but what is with the A in front of Mac? There's only one Mac-anything on the roster. It's like still calling Schenn BSchenn even though Luke left a year ago. - Feanor

I wonder if the expansion draft will affect deadline trades. Any extra picks could be useful to possibly upgrade one of the protection slots |

Does not change the number of the slots and most teams need the D-man protection
FW are easier to replace

Colin McDonald and Andrew MacDonald used to be on the same Islanders team for a couple years together. But I've seen blogs before that time where he's still "AMac." I know plenty of people refer to the other as CMac too. It just rolls off the tongue well. But his teammates call him "Mac." His best friends call him "Andy." MJL calls him "Lover." |

Lol remember when people were obsessed with calling up Oliver Lauridsen and thought he was good? That used to be the state of our defense. Fun times.
Looking back though that season, our defense had esteemed veterans like Nik Grossmann, Kent Huskins, Bruno Gervais, Kurtis Foster......fun times. |
