I'd be perfectly fine with that. Mase has said he needs a break. We can't afford to piss away any more pts. Carolina is right behind us. Really with a good weekend and some help we're not that far back of Pitt and the rags despite how bad they've been of late. Tomorrow gonna be a tough one for sure.

The alumi game should be great have fun!!

As long as Neuvirth plays well today, I have no problem going with him tomorrow. I really think Hak did both Mason and Stolarz a disservice with the way he used them during Neuvirth's absence. Stolarz should have had at least 2, and more likely 3 more starts than he did. I really think that Mason is just spent right now. Hopefully a week off will allow him to recharge and bounce back.

I really wish he would have played Stolie more. The makeup of this team (in other words they give up way too many prime scoring chances and goalies seldom have easy games) does not really work with overworking goalies. Brodeur used to play 70 games but played behind such a smothering defense. Mason wears down and Neuvy has gotten hurt a lot in his career.

I'll be impressed if they can go into Washington, less than 24 hours after playing in Boston, and come away with 2 points. I'd be thrilled with 3 points, but I'm guessing that 2 is more realistic and getting only 1 wouldn't really shock me.

Washington is rolling right now. they dismantled Chicago last night after also beating the pens pretty soundly.

Interesting matchup situation for the Flyers today.
That Bruins first line could give them a hard time, Pastrnak is becoming a monster.
I suppose Couts, Jake and Cousins get them. Cousins vs Marchand should be fun.
Hopefully Hak doesn't get Schultz/Ghost stuck against the Bs first line too much.
