The front office of the Cats also shows a level of professionalism that is sorely lacking with the Islanders. After the post-game, there's a show where the GM (also Rowe--he's the interim coach) and the PoHO are both interviewed (on tape), and they explain in detail their draft day strategy, their free agent strategy, etc. It isn't Garth showing his face once a year, and saying he's going to carry 3 goalies, gfy. - JohnScammo
Well see, that's the difference between someone who understands the game and the teams fans and someone who is completely absorbed by his ego. |

Nice JS. The Panthers are not having a great year and they are not hiding. |

When you get outcoached by every single coach in the NHL it's time to go away and never coach again. |

Wow. Cant wait to see which "Vets" Crappy & Garth ("it's a mgmnt decision, too") decide to send a message to.
Seidenberg was horrible.
Ladd couldnt make a 10 foot pass & pissed away chances.
Whoever did a spinorama pass while in the slot between the dots
Take ur pick.
They'll probably sit strome, quine or prince and pelech. Call up Gionta & Bernier

This team has not been right since puck drop this year. Did they lose a lot of the vets when PAP was cut? This team needs a major house cleaning. |

Thanks Ses, did you notice this line in the article:
As far as taking some veteran guys out of the lineup, Capuano added, “That’s a management decision, too.” But it’s on him to try to turn this thing around, if it’s not already too late.
It's a management decision too, to take Vets out of the line up?
Who's the coach? Very telling and another shot across Grath by Crappy?
Please L and M, stop the madness , fire these clowns let your wives run the team. It can't be any worse. |

Anytime 7! I always said Garth had his hands all over the coaching decisions. Cannot get anymore crystal clear. Cappy cannot do anything without Garth's say so. GM's should have nothing to do with who plays and who sits. I do not care if Bill Torrey in his prime is GM. How the frank can players have any respect for the coach when they hear this? It's a bigger clown show then we thought it was.
It's madness we need to wait all year for any type of changes. |

This is the worst season I can ever remember. It's not even the middle if January and I just don't care. This is worse than getting swept by the Rangers. This is worse than Maloney trading everyone away. This is worse than mailing it in for the first pick in the draft.
They don't care. The coaches, the players, the owners. Don't give a (frank). And...neither do I. An all around (frank) you to any loyal fan. |

Holy Jesus, what a moron. So crappy doesn't even have say on the line up? It's one excuse after another and never accepting any responsibility. |

"There'll be guys out of the line up, no doubt about it". But it's a management decision? I bet is Beau that sits. That'll show those veterans. Crappy got out coached by a gm. What a (frank)ing loser. |

The sooner this team realizes they suck and have no chance of making playoffs the better they will play
When will cappy realize his structure me system is predictable and sucks. The guys are playing it to perfection. If all you do in offense zone is try to set up a shot from point it's very easy for teams to adjust for that.
When is last time a isles forward challenged or try to make a move on opposing defender?

Honestly, the article is not wrong. I know each team needs representation but I'd pick Greiss before JT. He's also got a big name so that's "sexier" for the NHL. - potvin05
The article is only wrong in one respect..... It says Tavares is "the best player on a mediocre team." Sadly, "mediocre" is too kind a word to describe the Islanders. "Mediocre" means "average" or "middle of the road". The Islanders are way below average. The article should have said that JT was "the best player on a {pick your adjective} [weak/poor/crap] team." |

The all-star game is a popularity contest and the NHL makes money off of it. Who would the fans of the 29 other teams rather see JT or Greiss. Like it or not, that's the way it is. |

Tavares is the last guy I'm mad about. With the collection of stiffs he has to play with, what's he supposed to do? |

Glad they didn't change the line up so they could score 1 goal after only scoring 1 each vs the 2 worst teams in the league
Also let's keep a #15 draft pick with offensive instinct and a bomb shot in minors for a 65 pick in pelach who's a defensive d man. Makes even more sense when they are only giving up 2 a night and scoring 1 |

There's only so many people he can carry at once. Snow, Zippy, Bailey, Ladd, Prince, Quine, Weight, Cronin, Hamonic + are all riding on his back. Like you said, what the hell is he supposed to do? This 'organization' just gets worse and funnier everyday. Zippy saying that some guys will no doubt sit in one sentence, then say it's a management decision in the next is absolutely absurd. He's a (frank)ing moron and needs to go. The only thing I want to hear out of Zippy is "Do you want the medium or large meal combo?" |

Cappy said he needs better goaltending, Greiss gives up 4 regulation goals in 3 games, and they still lose to all 3 bad teams. You'd think at some point somebody (Garth or Ledecky) would just lose it and fire him. Not sure what more it would take. - NYI44

Scary that they're willing to throw a season away just to make changes (assuming that they do actually make changes in the offseason). No matter what changes they end up making, it doesn't excuse them for giving up on a season 20 games in. |
