I don't give a (frank) if AMac gets his games in
Provorov/Gudas
MDZ/Ghost
Morin/Streit - BiggE
1 more game |

I'd like to see Morin up ASAP, it's not that hard to do even with Streit being activated.
Step 1: Waive Gordon
Step 2: Waive or trade Schultz
Step 3: sit AMac and Manning
I don't give a (frank) if AMac gets his games in, no one is taking that overpriced sack of poop off our hands any time soon. And big (frank)ing whoop if they have to expose Manning, its not like you'd be losing Chris (frank)ing Pronger!
Provorov/Gudas
MDZ/Ghost
Morin/Streit
The rest of the D can take a (frank)ing seat in the popcorn box. - BiggE
hmmmm. I like your thinking. However, on the third pairing d I would like to insert somebody else for streit. |

I'd actually put Morin with Ghost. They played for a short time together in Allentown and I want Morin and Ghost getting more minutes to make sure we know what we got in them if I'm going for the full let's see what we got move right now.

pftttt. Wheres your sense of adventure. He brought more to the lineup then vdv ever did. Sure he might be suspended for dozens of games a year, but he sure as hell would be worth the watch through this sleep fest we now watch nightly. |

Too many 3rd line forwards and 3rd pair defensemen on this roster. We are a year away from seeing our farm system compete for NHL minutes (Morin, Sanheim, Stolarz). Also coming soon will be Oskar Lindblom, German Rubtsov and Mikhail Vorobyov which may help down the road offensively. Lyon is playing well and Carter Hart showed well at World Juniors. All of this doesn't help current roster but gives me hope (assuming the all developed as expected).
IMO- We need a sniper for G's line, a true second line center and a top pair d man. We have many tradeable assets on the NHL roster but a few bad contracts may be delaying things. Thanks Holmgren. I believe Mac is a serviceable NHL dman with the appropriate pairing and minutes. He is not anywhere near a top or even 2nd pair guy. Yet we gave him a top pair contract...
I'd love to have Trouba, Duchene, and Draistail. Never happen but I'd love to see us try. |

Anyone else notice in the last few games how both Giroux and Jake didn't back check or overstayed shifts...or both....
.... will they get benched? Cousins and Konecny were both benched for less blatant plays. - wbon22
Giroux was the biggest culprit on both goals scored at ES last night. Not the only one, but the most responsible in my opinion. |

Him and Carbomb are on my list of why did we even waste our time with those two. It's not the suspensions. It's the ok here's the worst freaking time to go take a penalty and HELLO *TWEET* Two minutes for being a dumbass on Carcillo or Rinaldo. |

I guess my option of getting rid of Schultz and AMac from the roster which preceeded this conversation.
You end up with 7 D
9-3
53-50
15-23 or 32 - dragonoffrost
I don't see a trade of MacDonald likely this season, but you never know. |

I like what you're saying but Ghost has been off this year. He is showing some flaws. Not sure if he is trying to do too much. He needs to be with a responsible d-first partner. Morin would be good for him. Gudas would be good for him. Manning and Mac expose him too much. |

He's been a little lackluster for a little bit now. He might get some assists but he just isn't really impacting games. |

I will say Duchene would be interesting. They are asking a lot for him. It might be a ghost and haag/sanheim for him. That's way too much. |

hahaha yah....those were the days. To me it was anticipation of them doing something stupid like when the flyers were getting blown out and you saw rinaldo hit the ice with under 5 minutes to play you knew somebody was getting destroyed. |

When managing prospects like Sam Morin, you call him up when you feel he is ready to make the jump full time to the NHL, and can play in a role that gets him enough ice time to make it worthwhile. You don't call him up just because the team is struggling. I emphasize the word team, because this is a team issue, and not just a defenseman issue. |

I've seen enough of the names I mentioned to think I'm not far off. Ryan was an absolute dirtbag against us earlier this season.
Morin at camp was clearly working on being the D style I want him to play.
Yeah I don't want AMac wasting time in Allentown but if it means improving this team for next year or the following we need to do it. The window for contention of this team while G and Jake are in their prime isn't going to be more than 5 years if it starts next season. Time to accelerate things a little. |
