The NHL is a tough game . I like the Canucks mostly this year and think most of the forwards give 110% everytime on their 45 second shift.

The players that I have seen coasting the most putting in time are JV Rodin The Twins. Most of the other guys have full out hustled .

- VANTEL

LE, Granlund, Sutter are invisible some nights as well.

I think it is pretty hard to call out Rodin for coasting when he was played what 15 min of NHL hockey? maybe 20?

He said later he's fine. The it's okay maybe I wasn't 100% was to protect WD. Rodin also said you have to earn your minutes. It's a tough league. You have to be ready so you can help the top 9 when it comes. He's being a mature pro with those statements. The Flames bench game is closed. Only talk now is when is it right to play him.

I can understand the reasons why Nuck4U wants to see Rodin, there was a lot of hype generated at the beginning of the season about his talent and skill. I not going to give him any kudos for the preseason because is a stupid indication of a players ability. The real indication is functioning in the NHL with some sort of consistency.

The only real consistency Rodin has shown, is that he has really weak knees and ankles, I've never bought into the hype surrounding him or Larsen.

Megna, Chaput, Skille and Gaunce have shown hard work and dedication to the 4th line role and deserve the meager minutes they're receiving, IMO, Rodin deserves SFA.

- Makita

The knee injury was a freak accident in practice with a cut to the tendon. That takes typically a year to heal. He pushed himself to make the team. He's not a slacker. You won't know what you have in him unless played. But he's willing to earn it and stays patient. As a fan it's natural to ask when does he get a try to improve scoring with Hansen out.

honestly. can we move on from this subject. Why do your persist on arguing over things that are in the past and have no relevance anymore. Please change the subject to something more engaging

He's right though, this injury thing doesn't hold water.

Q: How hard was it to just sit on the bench and not get a shift on Saturday night?

AR: It’s always tough to be on the side and not playing. But I’m ready whenever he wants me to play.

Q: Was it complicated by the fact that Willie Desjardins mentioned you hurt your knee a little bit in the Friday night game?

AR: Yeah, a little bit. I fell on it, and it didn’t feel great. But if he wanted me to play I think I would have been able to go.

You don't dress a player who is injured, banged up players are dressed all the time and often play.

Rodin didn't play because WD didn't want to use him. That's it.

Much like Don is a streaky complimentary poster? Maybe we could trade him to the Flyers blog for Nucker?

I can see that and it makes sense why WD doesn't want to play him. I just think calling him out for "coasting" after 20 min of play is a bit hasty.

Agreed.
I called him a POS the other day because I didn't like how he "ran off" home after struggling in his 1st stint in North America and then expecting a 1 way deal. He was also injury prone back then.

The reality is.... The game is over and it doesn't matter. 13th forward doesn't play and the hockey world should not lose its mind.

In other news (trying to change the subject) I wish the Canucks would go back to the stick in the rink jersey full time and lose the orca. Little sad we won't see the alternates next year, I am kind of done with the whale.

I'd actually prefer having a look at Boucher over Rodin. He has at least been productive in the NHL

This is the face palm right Makita?

He didn't run off home, he was given permission to sign in Sweden following a few injury riddled years in the AHL. He was still a Canucks prospect, and this is why they were able to bring him back home.

No drama whatsoever.

Correct. If that was a concern WD should have dressed Boucher as his insurance on the bench.

(Nuckers real name isn't "Mike", so I know it's not him)

You don't think Nucker isn't smart enough to create a fake acount for his yahoo team called mike?

Cmon, Lefty you gotta pull back the layers. They are clearly one and the same.
