Not the right decision. I don't understand whats so complicated about 1 vs 1 hockey. Its backyard hockey. He has a skill set that should help the team. I don't see other teams with their checking line plugs out there. Weiss 4 points on the season. 4 freaking points on the season.

Let him go out there and learn then. Point is already in the bag during these moments. In a couple minutes it goes to a coin flip lame shootout situation this is not a huge (frank)ing conundrum get your skill players out there

Konecny has made a lot of bad decisions with the puck and has been scratched a couple of times, due to some deficiencies in his game. He's young and 19. It's understandable. It's also reasonable to state that in the situation on the road, put out your best offensive players. I can see both sides of it.

THen play TK with Coots or some other responsible player.
What i know is when its 3 vs 3 with lots of open ice no thanks for me on Coots and Weiss together.

There is absolutely no excuse for not getting Konecny out there during 3 on 3. That is like cutting off your nose to spite your whole head.

3 minutes less 5v5 ice than AMac. #5 ahead of Manning. Every (frank)ing game
- Mononoke

Well...this shouldn't be surprising they are the 3rd pairing.

12-28-24 actually did really well again. It was the 2nd line that wasn't good. They were all kind of off, but Jake was a mess all game too.

Call me crazy, but I'd just keep the forward lines the same.

- Mononoke

I would too. From my experience, you need to develop chemistry and the consistency of having certain players together for more than two or 3 games is important. I suspect that the guys are always waiting for the next switch and that doesn't help either. If it works, go with it for 5 or So games. Ideally more. Teams get disjointed if theres not consistency

Whatever happened to situational hockey? Down 1-0 all game? Even in the 3rd it was the same thing. AMac, imaginary goal aside, was horrendous tonight too.

I kind of question couturier out there as well. He's played like horsepoop other then the garbage goal since coming back. If he can't handle the pressure to produce then fine but I don't like him in 3-3.

Konecny, Schenn, Simmonds, hell id even take Lube.

I know it's probably been beaten like a dead horse, but they got absolutely (frank)ed in this game. Either both those goals count or they both don't, but not one or the other. Get this poop figured out.

I don't think just cause your down a goal, you go and switch up the pairings. Saw ghost and prov together when they pulled Mason. I get it hes better than AMac but these are the pairings

With the exception of the one shift where MacDonald had a couple of turnovers, he played a real strong game, just as he has for a considerable amount of time. I have no idea what you're watching.

You don't give your best offensive player more ice time? That's bull. Lines and pairings and ice time always get changed situationally.

Matchups. Hakstol does not trust Konecny's puck management and play away from the puck, at this point.

And weise's puck management skills are better?

The game. He was shooting a lot but was a disaster in his own end.

Weise out there was garbage. After playing like ass all game and of course he flubs a perfect pass in the slot. Guy has serious cement hands

Overall I do think Hak is aight. These "lineup decisions" that are very questionable keep coming up. I don't think he gets in trouble because of that from Hex.

Another slow start next year and it's a pattern that may start to put him in hot water.

Weise in the eyes of some maybe played a good game. Safe game. Some people value that. I don't know.

Weise, you don't notice for 99% of the game. That's bad offensively, good defensively.

Not a fan of him myself.

Provorov carries his ass. Hes been ok but I can't help to think what we'd look like with Myers and Sanheim coming up

I don't like him but I think Provorov is improving him a tad.

Kind of like how Pronger made Carle passable.

refs have overturned this (frank)ing off, due to goalie interference.
