He is #1 on the team in points/60 at 5v5 over the last season and a half. #3 behind Jake and Simmonds over the last two seasons and a half. Last year, when he did so well, his most common linemates were Raffl, Simmonds, and Read btw. By all means, let a couple dozen games override that. Hey, how's Bergeron doing, who also gets only PP1 time? Maybe he can be our 3C.

He's only played 24 games and has the second most 5v5 goals on the team. Our 1C as 3 more points 5v5 points in 16 more games. Our "2C" has 4 less goals and the same number of points in 13 more games. But Couturier is the huge problem. Fact is, every forward besides TK is not scoring enough 5v5. And the PP2 sucks and has always sucked, with or without Couturier. That's also a bigger problem than just him, even with Konecny and Provorov on it too, they can't score.

Eh..All well and good..Game isnt just played 5v5.. (I feel like Flyersbuzz has done this before)..

For the FLyers to succeed they need Coots and B Schenn to produce and this season so far they havent been consistent enough ..

Im not saying over his career, Im not saying last year..Im saying to this point this season prior to his injury if you were okay with him your number 2c being 10th overall on the team in points then great..

Is Coots untouchable, not for me.
Is he hopefully going to be the key part of why this team wins a cup in a few years, I believe so.
