After watching last nites game, I would rather lose every game 80's Oilers style, 7-6. At least Van playing open would be entertaining. This style of trying to hold onto a win once they got the lead is brutal. I ended up watching reruns of Breaking Bad after about 5 min into the 2nd period.

Sbisa-Tanev
Edler-Stetcher
Hutton-Tryamkin
love it.
Sbisa continues to prove the critics wrong with solid play.
Hutton deserves to be on the bottom pairing at this point and that's fine with me.
It'll be interesting to see how many people scream about the mismanagement of Sbisa when he is snatched by LV and juxtapose that with people who were upset with his contract signing the other year and throwing him under the bus to start the season. |

I like JB's scouting acumen, deals meh, he needs help. FA & TL don't need them. Rebuild from the top down. |

I don't actually knwo what Trev does, beyond being a mouth piece/person to deflect attn away from the GM. But it was a good hire as he has a lot of credit built up with Canucks fans.
I don't actually believe all the criticism of the owners and think it's just another place for fans to place their misguided frustrations with the team.
I got no beef with JB really, just think we're in a process of rebuilding and it will be painful and take time. |

If Megaman can last on the Sedin's line for longer than a few games, i'll be surprised. |

With us trending to more speed we better play with energy every game.
If not then its gonna be a continuous up n down season.
Team identity is still in a state of flux but its expected with so many kids.
Summarizing it all up we need to play a more upbeat buzz saw style.
The goals will come & the PP is the 1st source to improve greatly.
We now have the physicality as a group to play LA & Anaheim.
With the Oilers & Flames trending up our game will need to be able to shift gears playing within our division to offset differing playing styles. Special teams & team defence will be the backbone in the end. Players like Gaunce Biega do not seem to fit into what we need but thats only in the present while this transition inches forward. Sniping & dirty goals r what we lack the most and if the D can get more shots thru like Stecher who will unleash at every chance the goals will come.
I hope JB is working the phones hard to move a vet or 2.
I still smell a deal with TB &/or Dallas will happen |

Well there was a pretty significant personnel change which resulted in a win, so I'd imagine the WD haters don't want to talk about that |

Haha don't bank on it. I expect fewer goals against, but this team still can't score |

We r in the hunt til this weak conference says we r not.
Does not matter what we say or think either.
Tankers need a good losing streak to get their wish.
The up n down Canucks might disappoint them

You do what you need to, to close out games in regulation. Would rather see us win 55 games at 2-1 and make the PO's than lose 50 games at 7-6.
It is what it is. Grind em out if you have to. |
