So? I'm sure Markstrom would take next season's salary right now but he'll have to wait til next season for it. You are kinda dumb. - boonerbuck

Good trolls can be amusing...everyone of his posts over the last year have been extremely weak trolling. He isn't intelligent enough to pull it off |

Larsen was a Feb trade.
So trading prospects for nhl players is typically buying, but not when you’re jim benning. Got it.

I think you nailed it with the intelligence.
I guess when you cheer for a losing team your entire lifetime you don't really get to work on your trolling skills. |

The leafs failed to sell-off at end of the sundin era and opted for quick fixes. Just a hot mess for years.

Listen dumb dumb....if you are trading a pick for a player that won't play until next season that doesn't classify you as a buyer at the deadline. It's called a hockey trade. |

When only 16 teams make the playoffs, and he will essentially be a rental at that time ( 1 year remaining) I think it will be a tough situation.
I agree though that both will likely not finish their term with Vancouver. I feel like we might get a repeat of Benning's statements about NTC's handcuffing him by the next mgmt group. - belcherbd
I personally think Benning won't make it past the Sedins retiring. He's half way through the standard 5 year window GM's are given... The owner, if still in possession of this team, will sober up on doing a tear down of some sorts. The timing to gut this team is always an easy decision for the fans. If it were easy, every team would be rotating through the cycle like clockwork... instead, only a select few teams engage in tear downs and they all have unique circumstances and ownership personalities. One common theme is years of suffering before the commitment is made. There has to be a reason for that or like I said, everyone would be committing to full resets with confidence and ease.

Lost another safety. I don't think they'll go into Pittsburgh and beat the Steelers so if they want to win a playoff game they need to win this weekend and have KC lose.
Still though, really young team aside from the D-line. Another couple of good drafts and they could become something. - golfingsince
Yeah pitt will be tough for sure ...but you never know
Glad to see they finally found a QB though |

Good read on Stecher.
http://canucksarmy.com/20...e-canucks-best-defenceman - VanHockeyGuy
I like Stetcher...a lot. But I think his stats tend to be overrated due to his tendency to fire pucks on net from all angles. He deserves credit for getting his shots through but they aren't particularly dangerous. When he adds some strength his offensive totals should flourish. |

Winning the lottery is Southern Ontario winning an expansion team.
The market is starved for an NHL team & overdue.
Why Bettman cannot see the untapped market there is astounding. - Nighthawk
It's the other owners in the region and they are the ones that have to agree.
