Why wouldn’t they take neimi in a miller trade if they could increase the return on miller? Miller is probably worth at best a 4th in a straight up trade.

Use money/cap space to buy better picks/prospects in trades then you would otherwise get; because your season is going to be a waste anyways.

The upgrade would be what you get for miller and that would increase with taking on a terrible contract. We have markstrom so either crap dallas goalie would be a back up next season then walk as a UFA as we then have Demko to take over.

The only real incentive as I see is that VAN could expose Niemi or Lehtonen and protect Markstrom.

I guess more than anything I can't see why DAL would view Miller THE upgrade that can get them over the heap.

dallas might be the only team willing to take a chance at miller with Ruff there.

Though I don’t see it changing their fortunes … and Rutherford needs to move fleury more than benning needs to move miller.

I think fleury ends up in dallas.
