You can't look at it that way ...you'll give yourself an aneurysm - Redmile247
you can do that for any team....I just hope they start selling vets this year and acquiring more picks. |

More pissed, still, about letting Jagr and Keith Tkachuk slide right past them |

Ya I'm sure he'll be ok but there's certainly more talented kids from what I've seen taken after him. |

After the 2012 playoffs it was painfully obvious they should've started rebuilding, they've been hanging on ever since. - LeftCoaster
After the cup final one year removed how would they do that with 9-10 NTC's locked up?
They should have started with moving Kesler after 2012 PO's then went from there.
For sure a mini-teardown should have began after the Torts year but again handcuffed by a stale core and Gillis' NTC's.
But behold we make the PO's with a non-PO team under Desjardins and viola…handcuffed again with the hope of PO's the following year.
Very tough to start a rebuild under the guise of 10 NTC's…just ask the Flames |

I was pi$$ed off when they added Vrbata and I was even more pi$$ed off when they added Eriksson. Both haven't done f@ck all to make the team any better and we threw them big money thats wasted. - thundachunk
both were scoring before coming here and vrbata is scoring again after leaving here.
So its safe to say theres nothing actually wrong with the players themselves but something wrong in the organization. Fighting amongst players, coaching errors, poor systems are all possible reasons |

It's too bad those signings hurt your feelings. It didn't keep us from drafting in the top 5 or from getting Boeser 23rd... we didn't give up assets for them. It's just crying over nothing really...
edit: Vrbada did a lot to make this team better in his first year. Get it right.... |

Should have been trading veterans not acquiring them - LeftCoaster
Free agents are not as big a deal as people make it.
Another way to look at it is you can sign vets to hope later you maybe able to convert to a pick. Cry babies like Vrbada make that difficult, unfortunately. So you try again with what you sign for nothing but the bosses money. |

I agree with moving him earlier. Kesler even requested a trade from Gillis in 2013.

Quinn was thinking Jagr would come over from the Communist block like Bure did. The scouts were singing Nedved in junior was like Gretzy |

Can't change the past... nothing frustrates me more than conversations about who should have picked who.... once it is done, thats the card you played. |
