FA needs to be told that trading away all the old players will mean selling jerseys of all the new players.

I have heard from 1 single source (a patient of mine) that FA is trying to sell for several months. I have no idea of the validity of the rumor, Im just posting what Ive heard once. I asked key questions and thus the rumor sounded valid

From what I know, the divorce really did him in financially, he was lucky that he managed to keep 100% of the team and not have to share it with his ex-wife. His brothers were actually helping to prop the team up because he doesn't have the money himself anymore to cover all the expenses. It doesn't help that with the low dollar the team lost value. The sad fact is, there's probably no one in BC save for Patterson or Chip Wilson that could afford to pay FA what the team is worth and they don't want it.

I wouldnt do that deal as a 1st isnt enough. Id do miller for either goalie and a 2nd though.

I would look to deal Edler and gudbranson after the expansion draft. Tanev too if but wouldnt be in a rush to move him because teams will be lining up.

I agree. I think the product on the ice is due to the owner getting involved. He was probably pushing for the playoffs to add value to the franchise even at the cost of product being terrible long term.

Who cares where they come from, if anything, having an unbiased owner would probably do that market some good.

As long as they are willing to pour in the money and allow the product to build (ala Terrence Pegula), i could care less if the owner was North Korean lol.

If the Aquilinis are truly trying to sell then they should STFU and back down and let the hockey management manage hockey ops and Trevor, Benning & Willie need to present a cohesive message/plan/vision together and not stray from it from one month to the next. A clear plan from all levels of the organization (including the Sedins and "we're only a couple of players away...") would be a good start to gaining credibility and quelling the apathy.
