I think it is crazy seeing Megna or WD being blamed for Canucks PP when it has been at the bottom of the league since 2012.

They have tried others on the PP but it is basically the same result.

When the old core is gone then we can expect change. Now we just ride this out.

Ive said something similar before. Doesnt matter who you bring in cause they will have similar issues after some time here. There is a very broken offensive approach here. It started in AV's 1st year when he wanted the team to dump and chase constantly. The sedins bought in to his preaching of winning games 2-1, When your captain says "we know we'll only score 1 maybe 2 goals a game" in the playoffs there is a problem.
Since they've been a perimeter passing team with no one in front of the net (w the exception of burrows back in those days). Watch the team come across the blue line on the far wing. They slow down and wait for everyone else. What scoring team does that? You cant allow the other team to get their defense set. Instead you come flying down the center straight to the net and not allow goalie or D a chance to defend.

But if you ask me this isnt an issue with the sedins themselves, they've been programmed this way. no need to trade them. We need someone behind the bench of a strong nature who will give them NEW marching orders and how he wants them to play. No one has done this yet, minus torts shot blocking (which they did for him).

I was watching Kassian in edmonton and he STILL does this, crosses the line, stops, dangles puck and waits for the rest of the team. Old and BAD habits. This habit has existed since AV's 1st year abd they've been snake bitten ever since. Time to rid the team of this old garbage. But the answer isnt trading the sedins....its infected a lot of team members.

Sooner this changes the better.
THis is what I like about sven, his nature is to go straight to the net. Its a reason he's good at breakaways. Doing some practices and drills on driving to the net will help.

He never made a big deal about JV. Ehlers was his guy but he made it clear he still thought we got a good player. Nucker was also the only guy to immediately tell people Benning did really good picking up Boeser when most were skeptical because of the lack of scouting info available to the fans.

He was done after the Sbisa re-signing. He hated him after the trade but the re-signing was the line in the sand. He only came back to chirp by the time we picked up EG and LE.
