It isn't the 1980's anymore, take a number and settle it later. You don't trade a first round pick, and add in a second so you can acquire truculence. That's just retarded.

Your flames traded that plus added another 2nd and got Hamilton instead ...which gets roasted in here constantly ..yet most were ecstatic with the guddy trade

Hamilton is a 40 point dman, Gudbranson's career high is 13 points I think....apples and oranges.

Tkachuk was asked the other day locally here about his draft position vs the Juolevi pick and he said we have nothing to worry about with Juolevi…will eventually be a stud up here.

JV will be an average power guy with flashes of great play. Most likely a standard 15-20 goal 40 pt guy…which is fine teams need those.

Gudbranson has been disappointing yes but look at what he has had to work with in our top 4 back there this year. Tanev/Edler are constantly hurt and Guddy can't carry Hutton around. He hasn't actually been put in a position to succeed either. Give that one time I think.

- LordHumungous

Gudbrandson played with Willie Mitchell and looked fine. But then again he played on a team that had scoring .

He comes here and plays on a team with an AHL partner on a team that doesn't back check and he is the problem. Have you notice that the team even looked worse in the last two games?

Torts knew that years ago and no one listened. Everybody just called him a bad coach.

Your most talented players don't fight or take numbers, on ANY team! Asking them to do so is silliness.

If they want a pugilist then go out and get one, there's a lot of them out there.

Again...until Linden and Benning clue-in, which they never will because they're obviously IMO not very good at their jobs, those guys (Sedins) are here for one more year, just continue to draft and develop youth.

I have seen Toews Thorton Crosby Malkin all drop them so that is bull

Exactly. Good forms of leadership step up in all aspects when needed.

How does Ferklund get away with interfering with Burrows then roughing him up with a punch to the face and no penalty?

Going to ask Connor McDavid to fight again? Break his hand and be out for months?

I love how all the secondary players get blamed for Canucks problems.

Lefty was complaining the other night that Megna is PP . It is not WD or Megnas fault that this teams talent is so thin. This team has not been scoring on the PP for 4 years. What over that 4 years hasn't changed? Is it Megna or WD that caused the slump in 2012-13?

The Sedins aren't those guys, if you want that, then they've gotta go out and get it. You can't expect them to be something they're not. They've been nothing but outstanding players for the Canucks for 16 years. Top 100 in all-time scoring, it's not their fault they're 37 years old and getting paid 7 million dollars.

Calls are different against the canucks then for them. Same as the Little goal the other night. Punished his pad into the net and puck with it. If that was Burrows it would have been goalie interference.

At the time Horvat was sitting on the bench, thus my complaint.

The Sedins don't fight is a lot different than Teams best players don't fight.

Yes we know they don't fight. Neither does anyone else except Hansen and Gudbrandson.

Yeah he did

I feel like his arrogance forced him to not coach with what he had but coach his way to show management he needed different players

Horvat plays second unit PP .

Putting him on with the twins is a waste of time. THEY ONLY PASS TO EACH OTHER

How well did 30 goal scorer Eriksson do with the twins . They seriously need to be split up if they are sticking around

As a general rule, even back in the 80's and 90's, your best players don't fight, don't be such a jackass. Joe Sakic's career fights, zero, Mike Modano, zero, Anze Kopitar, zero, I could go on and on and on.

Just because you named three guys doesn't make it the norm.

I never said he was wrong and most said he was right. I personally never said he was a bad coach I said he was an a$$hole coach that acted out like a child for attention because he was coaching in a Canadian hockey market. He is a good coach where there is no spotlight or expectations. (side note off the ice he is a really nice guy him and his wife are very good people.)
