This is why Utica sucks ...all your best young players are in college or the Canucks - Redmile247

Well it all started last season when they didn't let McCann and Virtanen play another in junior. Right then and there the excuses started. "We can better monitor their progress playing them with limited minutes in the NHL." What a crock of $hit. - thundachunk
I agree ...when is the last time you heard someone say "man that extra year of junior really hurt that guys development"
I honestly think they were trying to appease fans by keeping young guys up ...help the jersey and ticket sales |

If we are trying to lay blame on Green i think that's highly unfair.
Keep in mind, we have Utica's entire first line and first defensive pairing up here on the Canucks, with absolutely no movement from management to replace those guys on the farm.
They have been offering out PTO's to no-name ECHL players in an attempt to fill a full roster lol.
All things considered, Green is punching way above his weight with what he's got to work with. - Whiskey-Tango

There is nothing wrong with bringing up a top draft pick to play some NHL if he is surrounded by a good core. When you bring them in expecting to change the team , then that is crazy |

I suspect ownership had a hand in that. I think ownership has a hand in most everything. - Marwood
I would be fine with that if he lived and breathed hockey. He does love them and has more than just a business interest in the team but the fact is hockey isn't his main focus. I would be fine with it also if he came out and said this is my team I will run it how I want to but he is no John Mara and he is no George Steinbrenner. |

Lets not kid ourselves everyone loved seeing youth in the line up after going so long without it. Imo it was very shortsighted. |

I haven't said one word mentioning Green. I blame the Canucks (seriously I do) - VANTEL
Sorry man, wasn't directed at you in particular, just an observation.
And i totally agree with you on that one. JB and this team has mutilated Utica at absolutely every turn.
Last year is a perfect example, Utica has a horrible start due to the fact that management opted not to resign half the roster, thus creating a team devoid of depth, talent and leadership.
Green somehow turns it all around by late Jan, early Fed, to the point in which they are in a playoff spot, then Benning trades their leading scorer (Shink) and calls up their second most successful forward (Gaunce) and yet Green still gets them into the playoffs lol. |

Fu*ck yes, its simple really. JB needs to stop trying to pull rabbits out of his ass by signing or trading for guys like Baertgee, LE, Granlund, Rodin, and Philip Larsen. I know it sounds cliche but we need some good old Canadian boys added to this team. You add the Sedins to the mix and yes, you have a bunch of P***ies.
Im sure some of these guys can fetch us some sandpaper players. Redmile, we will give you Baertgee and Granlund for Ferland?
Oops, am I on to an essay here? - Bakwas
Yep. And stop cycling 8 AHL players through our bottom 6 year after year after year. Need some meat and potatoes back there. |

Things Canucks should do in the new year.
This team needs change and it needs it now. When Edler is healthy ask him to waive his NTC. If he refuses I would tell him he is not going to be on the protected list this summer. Yes you lose him for nothing but you also won't be complaining about him for the next two and a half years. This is your get out of jail free card,
I do trade Miller and Burrows at TDL . I keep Hansen as the leader of this group for the next few years.
I go up to the twins right after the Xmas break and let them know their minutes will be reduced and they will be the teams third liners going forward. Then you don't have to ask them to waive they may ask you for a trade instead.Same goes for Eriksson who was playing 4 th line or 3 rd the last two games.
I put the 3 Swedes on the same line and give them ten minutes a night.
Yes we will lose but we are already losing. This will help younger guys like Bo Granlund Sven and eventually JV and Boeser.
That is how you do change when you are handcuffed in a corner.
Go ahead and rip in. - VANTEL
Burrows is playing well enough where JB could pitch him to Mtl or Chi.
I've said this a few times beforeā¦time for 3rd line minutes for the twins. Get Bo and Sutter in positions where they can succeed in the top 6.
Miller just needs to git gone wherever.
And some hard ass types in the bottom 6 would be nice.
We can roll with Marky until summer then they can go after an affordable goalie to spilt duties with Marky until we see Demko. |

I agree but I think it would have been a tough sell to not bring them in ...it was a really bad series of events ...fans fell in love with the team that went to the finals ...but as they started to lose in round one to veteran teams it became apparent some changed were needed ...then losing to the flames team really put some over the edge ...now they wanted change and youth and wanted it now . |
