It's not like he says, " hey guys gain entry into the zone and shot the puck into their shin pads, not once but let's do it every chance we get, oh don't forget to leave your defensive responsibilities and have 2 guys chase behind the net and expose the open forward". "Also hook, grab, clutch, trip, hold...do whatever it takes to stop the opposition". And I want no retaliation, you guys take the slashing, cheap shots, and turn the other check, I want a team of pussies out there"

Because that is what is happening, and it must be because the coach is telling them to play that way.

there certainly is some very strange things that happen repeatedly during canuck games. Annoying habits etc.
Remember its a coaches JOB to weed crap like that out. He hasnt done squat that way in 2.5 seasons. So if you look at it that way you see he's not really doing his job. Time to find someone who will.

I just find it confusing how we can beat WPG 4-1 who technically have a way tougher lineup than CAL…then look like a Junior B team vs the Flames.

And I'll counter with, regardless of the coach, this team is talent deficient and doesn't have the moxie to compete on a consistent basis.

I am definitely not absolving WD on the status of the team, but I am putting a very large portion of the teams issues on the players themselves.

no of course its not like THAT lol

like I said its a coaches job to rid the team of bad habits, tendencies etc. and in new better ones. None of that has happened. Nothing. Its his job to get them shooting more when he sees they arent. Extra practices, running drills till they sweat even.

But no he does NOTHING. so THAT right there is reason enough to move on.

Why is it amazing?
Someone has to accompany us to the bottom of the standings.
Becoming the worst team in the league is 'hard', as such, GM's have to 'work hard' to win the most important title of all, the coveted first overall championship.

Toronto is looking to repeat, but i have faith in this team and management to fight hard and lay it all on the ice, blood, sweat and tears. We can do it, we deserve it.

We will meet Toronto in June and we will prevail!

I think most of us knew where the team was going to be. No 3rd-4th line scoring…no true top 4 D…lacklustre top 6 and very mediocre goaltending.

Plus we are a soft, injury laden team now by January every season we are cycling 8 AHL'ers through the lineup and expected to compete for a PO spot.

All I want to see is SOME form of progress. Picks, trades..whatever. Get some positives going.

All we have now is a perfect recipe for bottom 5.
