I already bought 10 of them. Was going to give them out for Christmas but decided they were too valuable and kept them. |

Rex Ryan was fired. It's Garth and Cappy's turn now. |

I think the playoffs are a huge longshot. Even if they make it they are not going on a long run. It's best to get that president hired and they clean house and they get ready for the offseason. - ses111
As it stands right now they would need to pick up at least 61 points in 49 games. It's not going to happen.
They are currently on pace for an 80 point season. My guess is they will get a little more than that because Crappy coached teams play well then they are totally out of the hunt. |

Funny this is another thing that was a knock on this team years ago. The fact that they were turning it on at the end of the season when they were out of it. Just another thing that makes zero sense, yet was allowed to go on for many years. |

Yeah, they pretty much backed into the playoffs the last couple years. Making it because a couple other teams couldn't pull out wins. That doesn't exactly speak dominance to me, when you're needing other teams to lose in order to get in. |

Its been a problem for years.......i can remember this from the beginning of the rebuild. Fans were like why are they not tanking for the shot at the first overall pick? 15 games to go and they start playing?????? Makes ZERO sense. |

Maybe it's the whole 'play the role of spoiler' thing. I don't know, but you're right. This goes way back. I understand not tanking, or taking a dive. As a professional and having competitive drive, it's not in their nature to just lay down. My guess. Just another thought on winning down the stretch. Could also be that teams they were playing that have/had already clinched were resting starters and playing guys from the 'A'. Letting them get some ice time and seeing what they had in case of injury during the playoffs. |

Its probably a little of everything, but, you have to say to yourself, how long does this last? Its the same sh!t every year basically. |

At least I know he will be on the team for 6 more years. - nyisles7
As stated previously, I think it was 2 years too many, but we're stuck with it now. I know he hasn't been good so far this year, but honestly, I think he's going to be fine. I seriously doubt he forgot how to play over the summer. Pretty sure it has a little bit to do with the coach and his "system". I say that facetiously, but the bottom line is that Crappy can't coach. Every one of us has, at one time or another, questioned the moves, line combos, PP, PK, benchings, etc. of this coach and his staff. We've not only beaten a dead horse, we've beat it into dust. 7, I'll bet you that if a new coach comes in, Ladd has a good season next year. Let me know if you want to take me up on that.
Btw, how was your Christmas. And how was everybody's Christmas. |

Scott Gordon knew how to tank. I remember the 2008-09 season with the Isles in dead last in the NHL. They were involved in a tie game (last or next to last game I think), and no one scores in OT. So in the shoot out, Gordon sends out Brendan Witt... |
