16 goals once isn't really an indication of anything. Anyone in the league can catch a few bounces and somehow end up with 15 goals in a season once.

I was hoping that he'd score a few fluky goals or show "heart" on the PK so we could dump him on a dumber GM (ala Russell)

Why the (frank) does Ek think we are rock hard for Kadri?

1. We have like 5 or 6 NHL centres. I don't think Kadri ranks ahead of Backlund or Monahan. Probably won't be ahead of Bennett for long (if he even is now).

2. We already have a much better pest in Tkachuk.

3. There's no (frank)ing way that Kadri alone lands them fuking Hamilton.

Totally agree. Again it's the ole Toronto mentality that their players are worth so much & they go on a Trump like campaign to smear the value of the guy they covet so they can come across as us doing us a big fcking favour.

Thing that kinda concerns me is why is Hamiltons minutes so much lower than the likes of Wideman & some games Engellend? This now is happening with a second coach. If we were to move any of our big 3 D, Gio would be the one I would move. He actually lives in Toronto in the offseason. He really would be a solid anchor on their young team. I wouldntbe happy about it & it better be a great fcking return if that happened.

What would really make sense if we were really wanting to shake things up & Hamilton was part of a deal would be with Colorado, but Barrie would be coming back & if we included Monahan, can we get Mackinnon & Barrie for Hamilton & Monahan. Now that would be a hockey trade But I would rather hear about those rumours than Kadri for Hamilton BS!!!

I didn't see the last game so I'm not sure if Dougie is making mistakes or what the problem is. Before the last 2 games he was hovering around 19-20 minutes per game so maybe he is just having a bad couple of games?

Edit: Could it just be as simple as in games where we take a lot of penalties, Hamilton's minutes suffer? We've also moved to only having 1 dman on the PP (the start of the year we were using 2). If he's splitting PP time with Gio, Brodie and to a lesser extent Wideman then he doesn't really make up the minutes he loses by not being on the PK.

Hamilton does get the odd shift on the PK but the bulk of the minutes go to Gio, Brodie and Engellund which could be why we see Engellund getting more minutes than Hamilton some nights.

Hamilton just might have to earn GG's trust on the PK if he wants to consistently see 20+ minutes per game.
