Nope, I think WD tried his best with the roster he had, but JB isnt pulling out all the stops to get him the best roster. 3 of Vancouver's AHL forwards in the lineup, Skille, Menga, Chaput were all free agent signings. There were better ones available, hell even Higgins is a more reliable option. If they were serious about winning, trades for help would have happened during the 9 game losing streak. They gave it a soft try and hoped for it to fall in place perfectly (like they have done each year WD has been here), it didnt go that way and now they are accepting their fate

Not that it matters but not sure how Tryamkin didn't get an assist on the first goal. He shoots from the point, Horvat 'maybe' gets a stick on it, then Baer back hands it in. I don't see where Burrows touched it at all. Should be 2 assists for the BFG

He's doing the same thing in Columbus and it seems to be working. Still no pregame skates for him, he is a hardass, rides his top guys (no line rolling), benches stars (not a coddler or cheerleader), you described Torts more than Hartley

No one said he was perfect. Sure he gets outcoached here and there but so do 20 other coaches every night when their teams lose. It's personnel. Look at the roster. The bottom 6 and final D pairing with Sbisa are amongst the worst in the league.

Vegas is going to do us a MASSIVE favor when they take Sbisa off our hands.

Calling a time out so the team could hang on for a single point makes no difference to where this club is and is heading.

Miller will go to San Jose, LA or Anaheim. Whoever ponies up the highest 3rd rounder with considerations that if they win a round of two, moves up to a second.

Hire Mike Keenan.

Its a win win , it either goes to absolute crap , or one of the all-time winning coaches pulls this team off the ledge

I really think JB gets a contract extension. I think he knows this team lacks the depth to actually be competitive, and everyone gives him praise over the improved prospect pool. His trades have been hit/miss (but who's arent?), and managed to bring the average age completely down. He is reshaping the team and there are positive things to look forward to, I think he gets on the hotseat if he cant get the new group over the hump

I get the feeling that behind closed doors, they are about where they expected, despite the message for fans that they want the playoffs; which is why I dont think we will ever see a press conference that says something like "we change our minds and want to do a true rebuild"

Throwing 2 mil at Miller is just plain stupid.

it's an amusing post but there are separate camps. People that scream for a TO rebuild and then complain about the coach are idiots...true. I just think he is a bad coach and has worn out his welcome. I want the kids to learn in a positive environment. It is becoming toxic.

While I agree that pushing Demko in isn't wise there are other options than bringing back Miller. Demko can still be playing well in Utica next year pushing Markstrom to be better. We have to have 'some' form of stability in goal next year...Miller will not provide that.
