Sven had been bad for stretch and got benched ...it woke him up and he played good ...that's not bad coaching ...that's good coaching

A team giving up on the coach and trying to get the coach fired doesn't score 5 goals in half a game

- Redmile247

Willie is showing more gaffes this year but it really isn't him...dressing 6 AHL players every night and people expect this club to contend for a WC spot.

The only positive I can see coming out of this game is that they realize that maybe Ryan Miller isn't actually a top 3 goalie in the NHL, and decide not to sign him to an extension. Well, that and WD has a plan for top 3 picks...
- 1970vintage

If they sign Miller for next season you are gonna see a lot of posters go full PHucker here.

Why did he not call a time-out at any point?

Also, his challenge on the Skinner goal let the Canes rest and keep their hot line out there to score another one.

Well, they're as close to the top of the Pacific as Carolina is to a Wildcard Spot...

Which is ridiculous. Unbelievable how bad the Pacific is.

Not just the pacific, the entire west has been a joke this year. The Canucks are three points from dead last in the league but somehow only four points out of a playoff spot

Considering your team once was given home ice advantage and the 3 seed for winning a division which had equal points than a 9 seed....I wouldn't be taking trash ...nothing will ever compete with the Southleast division

I was wondering the same at the time of the Hainsey goal, but they were reviewing that one, so it seemed unnecessary then. Probably shouldve when they tied it though

No one said he was perfect. Sure he gets outcoached here and there but so do 20 other coaches every night when their teams lose. It's personnel. Look at the roster. The bottom 6 and final D pairing with Sbisa are amongst the worst in the league.

Vegas is going to do us a MASSIVE favor when they take Sbisa off our hands.

Calling a time out so the team could hang on for a single point makes no difference to where this club is and is heading.

Good question of course. Hard to say. I'm coming around to the idea of what Booner has said about WD and JB just being a stop gap here. Benning has scouted and drafted well so by the time Boeser Luolevi and Demko are developed here we will be looking at a completely different MNGT and coaching structure. What that will be is hard to say.

No to Hartley please. Overrated.

Missed playoffs 6 of his last 8 seasons as head coach.

Out.

We need a female dog coach, not a cheerleader, coddler, line rotator, special teams ignorer - smells like garlic coil (Probably) coach.

Yes he did... while is rebuilds.... all Benning is doing is wasting time keeping Willie.

I am not ready to admit that there is nothing we can do until the Sedin's retire.

I really think JB gets a contract extension. I think he knows this team lacks the depth to actually be competitive, and everyone gives him praise over the improved prospect pool. His trades have been hit/miss (but who's arent?), and managed to bring the average age completely down. He is reshaping the team and there are positive things to look forward to, I think he gets on the hotseat if he cant get the new group over the hump

I get the feeling that behind closed doors, they are about where they expected, despite the message for fans that they want the playoffs; which is why I dont think we will ever see a press conference that says something like "we change our minds and want to do a true rebuild"

So are we saying that WD took this job simply to kill 4 years and get a paycheque while the rebuild pieces are assembled for the next coach to benefit?

I don't get why you chumps want a coaching change. Isn't rebuilding what you've been creaming your jeans about. Isn't this season (and last) exactly what you hoped would happen so they could draft high? Who cares what the talking heads say to the media, the tank is on. I literally think you have your collective heads up your asses, and when I say literally, I literally mean the actual meaning of the word literal, like I actually think your actual heads are actually stuck right up your ass.
