trust you to notice that, good pick up, how's your coaching skills, could be a job opening, and you seem to be able to adjust to changing dynamics.

Kind of funny because there is 9 different players on this team from 2 years ago when this team was any good. Most of the players that have moved on are the ones that people wanted out. The ones that most of us wanted to keep are now sucking.

So what does that say about fans choices...

He's just an example of having to bring up someone to replace a proven roster guy. Screaming for someone's head with no viable replacements.

It's an NHL roster, nobody is easily replaceable. Our D has not been good most of the season, just because they're young doesn't mean they are going to be. We still lack scoring, that's certainly not easy to replace.

We can blame it on coaching all we want, the roster sucks.

- golfingsince

I did not mention coaching here. I said I blame a lot on our lack of a proper 1st line. Though coaching has not been good. With a lost season, he should be using it to learn how to make changes in games to tweak his style. But enough about coaching.
Our young defense have shown that they will be fine in a couple years. Add in OJ and we could very well have a solid defense in 2 years time. maybe 3 depending on OJ's development. We need to draft that precious 1st line so that in 3-4 years we are ready to compete again. I would prefer to trade Edler over Tanev, but as we can't, Tanev could be used(in off season after protected) as a nice piece to get something that can be used in our top 6/3 later.

They'll drown anyways. Then we can trade wine for water.

Hutton is a fire drill, Gudbranson has underwhelmed. Tree is first season, Sbisa has improved but with a nickname like pizza.......

That leaves the 2 you want to trade......and Stetcher. I'd hardly call that fine.

They might pan out, they very well might not.

I'm starting to wonder if they believe the poop coming out of their mouths or if someone just writes a script for them

Yeah their welcome is becoming thin. He says there is no excuse for blowing a three goal lead yet he was on for at leas three of the goals ended up -2 and had zero shots.

He needs to learn to STFU

I blame management for that one not bringing in proven vets. I wanted Victor Stalberg and Lauri Korpikoski for example.
Unfortunately we needed more plugs till JB draft picks can develop.

Do you think it matters who you bring in( coaching or players)?

Players like Bonino Vrbata Weise Kasian all have seemed to flourish once they leave here .

Same as Sullivan Torts AV and now Gully

I think he is trying to protect Willie to be honest. Guys, particularly captains, that come out to the media after games like that and are speechless, or talk down about the performance often see the coaches handed their walking papers the next day. It might not matter much in this case, but Henrik doesnt seem like a guy that would throw his coach under the bus and let him take the fall for their poor execution

If he wanted to help Willie he needed to score when we need it not give speeches ala Naslund we choked

I still don't like WD and didn't expect more then .500 with a healthy roster. It's not healthy. Management made the mistake to listen that this team NEEDED to get younger and faster. Most of the fans wanted a rebuild and they are getting it while management gets to "try" and win.

I am old enough to clearly remember that night in St Louis when the Canucks purposely were blown out to show ownership the players have lost the coach's coincidence and Mike Keenan was fired after the game. Such is tonight.
- Beatle_john

It's not the same. Keenan was hated. WD is not the players are doing what he says. The question is are they doing it badly or is it the wrong thing to do? I say a bit of both. You can't get rid of the whole team so easily like the coach. But change is needed. At least in The Who and How.
