OK... so I understand that there are those out there who still want a tank.

Is it the smartest thing to do? Edmonton only now is showing anything reasonable and McDavid --- while yes ---- pretty cool.... is not a full team.

Toronto may need to tank for 3 or 4 more years so create a system that will help them. Sure, Marner --- a surprise --- might speed that up by a year.

Either way... I think that Tanking is fraught with peril.

It boggles my mind that everyone uses the Oilers as an example of why not to build through the draft (high picks) yet there's dozens of examples of other teams who've won Cups building through the draft....in fact the vast majority of Cup winners.
