If MacDonald made 2.5 million a year, would he get as much criticism?

If they went with the Legion of Doom era blacks, I'd be okay with them.

That was the quote but that one swat by McDavid in the corner, over near where you sit I believe, was a definite let's go challenge. As I said over the course of the game they weren't out much together so it didn't really have the chance to develop between them.

Fun night lot's of 80's Flyers Edmonton vibe. Totally looking forward to February out there. I'll have to stay up for that one.

Apparently Manning said there was no challenge from McDavid and McDavid clearly said Manning wouldn't fight one of the guys so I just don't believe McDavid wanted to fight himself. Personally if I were an Edmonton fan I wouldn't want him to either. I even cringe when Simmonds fights at times cause I don't want to see him break a hand on a helmet.

Oh I know if I was an Oilers fan I'd be saying WTF are you thinking especially going after a guy who has a decent fight game like Manning. But sometimes you got to stick up for yourself.

I just don't think the circus it's going to turn into is what he wants.

McDavid just better be happy we still don't have the human penalty, the Zac Attach Rinaldo.

Man, how I do not miss that guy.

Is that the Lindros era black? It definitely looks like it and I have one but I don't think mine is a Starter so I'm confused.

Even Crosby and Ovechkin fought early in their careers. You don't want him fighting every chance he gets, but even Wayne Gretzky got into 3 fights.

So would I! I honestly wish we had a design very similar to Shark's black jerseys. Just switch our logos and subsitute the teal trims with orange. And have white numbers/names. Simple but swaggy

That guy would have been a mess in last night's game.

Could you imagine him playing and Berube coaching. Dear god we'd be on every sports show being made a laughing stock "Flyers lose the game 6-1 and turn into the goon squad".

I would prefer the orange jersey from the Lindros ear better. Last time they wore them was on Halloween during the JR days.

But they don't bring bags of cash out onto the ice so, imho, money is actually irrelevant. Either you produce at your skill level or you don't.

I think Jersey makers switched a few times in that era I've seen Koho, CCM, Starter and Reebok Blacks.

They don't??? What nonsense are you watching?

And no, the primary factor is how well you play at your given position/role. But in a salary cap world, if you're making more money than someone else at your same position, you're expected to produce at a similarly high level because there's only so much money to spread around.

Last night was a game where the emotion can make you want to teeter over the edge. A guy like Zac rarely had that restraint. Does he even still play for Boston?

If that situation turns into a circus, that will be on whoever turns it into a circus. There's really not much to it.
