It started with MacDonald over handling the puck, and skating it into the forecheck, leading to a turnover, but the goal scorer was left unchecked. Have to put most of the blame there on MacDonald, because the other players are moving on the breakout, and it's very hard to switch course into defensive coverage.

On top of that, Provy was a bit conservative on his slide which left a wider passing lane.

You could also put a bit of the blame on both Amac and CV because after the bad turnover they both got beat in a board battle by McDavid. After that, it was pretty much bang bang and PEB was just getting back into the zone..
