Gotta get dat loot get dat loot.
I'm playing Gears now, and I have been sitting on the Witcher 3 for a long time. Maybe this holiday when I get more time. I also got this arcade game called Inside on the Black Friday sale. Supposed to be great, from the makers of Limbo. |

I keep reading this "off his game"
Did you actually watch the game ?
Connor was absolutely dominant. Kid had a goal and apple and was dangerous all night long.
If he not already the best player in the world, it won't be long till he's that by a country mile.
The flyers winning the game (and congrats on it) wasn't because manning got him off his game. It's because the oilers gave up 6 goals.
If that's Mcdavid off his game, then the rest of the league is totally fuked when he gets back on his game.
I also read some posts saying Connor shoulda fought manning. Is that a joke?
Connor Mcdavid is gonna drop mitts with Brandon no name plug manning ?
How in any way is this a wise move from the oilers side - HB77

A good rule of thumb is if a player agrees on a 3 year contract, he probably from a negotiating standpoint was asking for another year or so, the team asking for a year less, and they met in the middle or the player acquiesced to the team's offer. Unless your Garth Snow, to which you just say "OK" to any initial player offer.
There were rumors Florida wanted Raffl near the deadline and the ask was 2 2nds, and then he was signed shortly after, so there was definitely some stuff going on behind the scenes. Regardless, my only point was that a player like Raffl is someone I'd like to have for another cost effective year or two over some lesser players getting more. - Mononoke
I agree, I'd love to have Raffl signed for longer, but there's a difference in the negotations for a free agent on the open market, verses signing your own free agent who hasn't hit the open market yet. A good rule of thumb also is that a player would like to have a chance on a bigger deal at some point. It's different for every player, and there is no set rule of thumb.

After Draisaitl scored the first goal last night I blamed you.
I want you to know that.
 - Marc D
Haha, you know you want him too.
Hextall needs to get it done before he gets better and more expensive.
Trade them Manning. |

Pascal Laberge came back the other night for the second time after he wasn't feeling well from that vicious hit 6 or so weeks ago. Well, tonight, he faced off against Moncton for the first time since his hit (a Moncton player was the one who made the initial hit).
Well, a different Moncton player -- another mucker -- was given a major and game misconduct tonight for another hit on Laberge. He fought the player after, but Pascal has not returned to the game.
This makes me sick. |

From what I understand, McDavid's actions the game last night were not in reaction to the hit last year, but in reaction to Manning chirping him about the hit. It reaching the point of being overblown. All it was is a building rivalry between two players. Something that happens all the time in the NHL. Its crazy all this talk of McDavid being thrown off his game. - MJL
I disagree man. He should of dismissed the question. |

So, my #fancymath says the Flyers are at the 35.37% mark of the season. As of now, who are your 7/3/1 expansion protected slots?
Giroux
Voracek
Couturier
Schenn*
Simmonds
Raffl
Cousins
Ghost
Gudas
Manning
Stolarz
*Note on Schenn - He's hard to figure out. If he's left unprotected, he'll be taken for sure. However, if they Flyers are really done with him, I'd rather they try to trade him before the ED and protect a guy like Laughton/Leier/Lyubimov. So, for right now, he keeps a spot.
Also, this assumes they somehow have a goalie signed that they're willing to expose (Emery much?). - jmatchett383

Raffl
Weise
Gostisbehere
Gudas

Your picks are no brainers, although I choose Weise over Cousins because I think both are a toss up. If I'm the GM of Vegas, I would want the experienced forward over the boarder line kid that nobody knows what he is yet.
As everyone knows, I'm a Schenn supporter. I do believe he needs to give more. At the same time, he's safe due to being a tradable asset. |

he is already eligible. each team must have one dman under contract for 2017-2018 to be exposed. he needs 19 more to be considered that dman. |

Vegas will have to choose some "prospects" one would think. they aren't going to select 30 NHL players with contracts over 950K and who would require contracts being buried. I leave Weise exposed. if they take him so be it. Honestly if I am choosing between say Weise, one of Laughton or Cousins, Leier and Stolarz I would be choosing one of the kids |

I think if Weise is exposed, he's the guy taken. A sub 30 vet with cheap affordable term (3 years) who can play in your middle 6 has a ton of value to an expansion team. It isn't easy to get and keep guys those first few seasons. Add in the "grit" and "size" factor which is said to play a big part in the owner's vision, and it makes sense to me. |

I don't care if one of Laughton or Cousins go. That's just me though. At this point I don't know why Vegas would take Leier.
I actually would sign Mason and use the last spot for Mason. |

I could see it. He's also a guy who has had some decent production in his career, who might even be a 2nd liner on an expansion team.
Of course, they may decide that a kid is a more beneficial pick long term. I wouldn't be amazed if Hextall made a deal involving a guy like Laughton to avoid potentially losing him for nothing, especially if he remains a tweener. |
