Did anyone see that movie Tomorrowland? I watched it last night. If you look at it scene by scene, it's a fantastic movie, but as a whole, I have little to no idea of what I just watched. - jmatchett383

Yes, but the team is still not being heavily outscored when he is on ice. - MJL
No, I was actually lying.

Akeson was outscored at a higher rate than VdV if you look at players who have only played for the Flyers in the past three seasons. So he has a career AHLer beat, at least. |

Im cool if you take Akeson out the picture. Poor guy was never given a chance. He was a solid driver of play.

Well, they do exist. They were never used.
Also, they're born out of old fairy tales where wicked stepmothers were put into coffins that then had nails driven into them before being rolled down a hill and into a lake. - jmatchett383
They put them together for display. Like a side show mermaid.
Not sure about the fairy tale step mother thing but what the heck, I'll take your word for it. |

Honestly. They can have him then. - mayorofangrytown
Have to disagree. I think there is an argument to be made that he's been a top 5 goaltender in Flyers franchise history. Certainly could be by made after another season up to his standards. 920 save %, 2.44 GAA. |

My eyes go all crosseyed and vision gets blurry when that discussion starts.
I just look at it as people throwing numbers out to make their viewpoint sound good and ignore it. |

This won't happen until players can be on the ice, stop skating, take off their gloves, adjust their elbow pads, play with their manland area, put their gloves back on, take a few shots at invisible pucks, then re-enage in the play.
In other words, what happens in the Flyers defensive end. |

So with Mase being named #1 star of the week will the troll on NBC eat some crow?
I already know the answer is no. |

It's pretty simple.
Person #1: These stats prove my viewpoint.
Person #2: These stats refute your viewpoint.
Person #1: Yeah, but those stats don't count.
Then you just basically have fun driving them nuts. |

I'm gonna go with people not being able to correctly conjugate a verb. That is one of the more worster thing, and has held the Flyers back from a Cup for years. |

At the end of the day, there's really only one stat that matters: Number of fights won. HIDDUM! |

Although there's been a handful of great starting goalies in our franchise's history, his competition is actually pretty lame.
