Beating a dead horse but...
Game isnt just played at ES
10th leading scorer on team this season prior to injury
Being outscored by 3 dmen.
Neither Coots to Schenn have locked in the 2c Role to me but lets focus on something more applicable like a good Flyers win today. - opeth_pa
Are you finally ready to explain how PP scoring should determine what ES line a forward plays on? Because you seem to be arguing that a player can't be a 2C, even if they lead their team in 5 on 5 scoring, if their PP points don't reach a certain level. Which makes no sense whatsoever.
The Flyers defense is leading the league in scoring which is really not sustainable, just like the lack of 5 on 5 scoring from many of their top 6, particularly Schenn and Giroux who are still below Couturier despite all their "dynamics".

Agreed. Couturier was having an amazing, All-Star (maybe HHOF) worthy season before he went down. Step aside, Gretzky, Mr. Shot Attempt Advantage Couturier is here. |

I assume you're referring to points/60 at 5 on 5?

Why do you always bring up shot attempts when I'm talking about point scoring?
That was Schenn's first 5 on 5 goal in his 23rd game. It was a great goal, but to act like he's ready to take the 2C spot when he is the 2nd worst possession forward and even Gordon has scored at a better rate 5 on 5, is ludicrous.
He has done well on the PP which is why no one has said he should be demoted from the top PP unit. Because changing a player's PP role based on lack of scoring at ES is as nonsensical as changing their ES role based on lack of scoring on the PP. |

He's a lefty so he uses hyperbole to the extreme to prove his point and insult you at the same time.
He's really freaking good at it. I'm actually an admirer of his. |

And you can reserve your usual 2nd round exit ticket because the Rangers team is nothing more than Lundqvist in net. - FreshFlyer
Unlike the flyers with their long list of can't miss prospects of which two look good and your less than stellar goldtending. I will come back in 5 years and you will be in the same place and ordinary mundane team of nobody's. |
