Sure it is. Just don't fill out the roster and/or show up to games.

And I would be cool tanking for any one of the guys they got, maybe two when Embiid got injured. But after 2 seasons, you need to (in my eyes) at least TRY to put a competitive team on the floor. Asking your fans to sit by while you get blown out by mediocre teams every night for 3 straight years is not something I would be cool with. And as a free agent player, I would never want to play for an organization that employs that kind of mentality.

New question before Bill gives us some fresh reading material...

You get to pick one "active" artist to play guitar (mic and guitar) in the corner of a dive bar on a Thursday night for hours...who do you pick?

I will say for me, at least at this moment, it would be (okay top 3 cause I'm indecisive) Gary Clark Jr, Ed Sheeran, or John Mayer

If he still counts as "active," David Gilmour.

First of all, I still believe in Couturier also. He's had too much of a track record of being a good player, to think that his early season struggles will continue. He certainly deserves some benefit of the doubt, but why are there always BS excuses made for his play by some? His defensive turnovers weren't weird, they were just bad plays, and bad decisions. No different from any other player. On PP production, again it's not his fault. Yes it is his fault. He simply hasn't made many plays on the PP in his entire career. We also can't call a strategy implemented by a coach as being ass backwards just because someone doesn't agree with it. Responsibility needs to be placed on the players sometimes. So easy to sit back and Monday morning quarterbacking when something isn't working. Joe Mullen is a HOF player, and knows what he doing. I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest changes, but to suggest that the coach doesn't know what he's doing and to not credit him at all for the success of the top unit because a chimp could coach it, is completely unreasonable.

Bottom line, is Couturier needs to play better and raise his game when he comes back, and there are no excuses that need to be made.

I love Couturier as well but Schenn vs Couturier, one is the golden boy and one isn't. One can do no wrong and the other is the reason for other the team's problems.

.

The post I quoted is a perfect example of it. It's not that Schenn doesn't deserve criticism, it's that Couturier also does this season. Excuses are made for him though. Same for other players. That's the way it's always been. Some players are fan favorites, and some aren't Some fan favorites have earned it, but they haven't earned being immune from criticism. Some also think they know more than seasoned coaches do. Nothing wrong with suggesting new ideas, but the coach doesn't need to be called basically incompetent. That's arrogant.

Jake and TK have been off since Coots went down. Seems Coots was doing more than the stats say...

Maybe so, still doesn't change the point that there is legitimate criticism of Couturier's play that isn't just about weird turnovers. His play was sub par before he got injured, and he needs to be better, along with a lot of other players.
