I read the article about Sam Hinkie and I am still trying to figure out what I have done with my life

Sam Hinkie read the same article and is wondering the same thing.

Sam Hinkie knew that The Process 3.0 was going to be a much better article...so he traded 2.0 without reading it

Not to rehash it, but I don't agree with him.

If you're a lower/middle NBA team, you will be stuck in mediocrity. A 7/8 seed in the NBA is like being stuck in limbo. Everyone gets that. So, if you see the guy that you think can make you a winner, a guy like LeBron/Shaw/Kobe/Jordan/Ewing/etc and want to tank a season to make a run, then I get it.

But tanking for 3 straight years because you keep missing, not to mention that none of the guys in that draft class were on par with the superstars I mentioned, makes no sense to me. To ask your fanbase to be loyal while you intentionally lose for 3 seasons, with little to show for it thus far (somewhat due to injuries) is something I can't support. If the Flyers decided to intentionally put together a horrible roster to take a run at guys like Nail Yakupov and Ryan Nugent Hopkins for 3 straight years might finally break me. I know the NHL is different, just using them as examples.

It really is just a debate about entertainment vs winning championships. While Tim Duncan is HOF, he isnt Lebron or Kobe. I don't think they needed to get the next LeBron in order to assemble a great team either. I liked the process and any strategy that gets the Sixers Embiid is one I would repeat an infinite amount of times.

New question before Bill gives us some fresh reading material...

You get to pick one "active" artist to play guitar (mic and guitar) in the corner of a dive bar on a Thursday night for hours...who do you pick?

I will say for me, at least at this moment, it would be (okay top 3 cause I'm indecisive) Gary Clark Jr, Ed Sheeran, or John Mayer

Now, if I become Chad Kroger, am I able to realize what an bumhole I am and try to redo my image, or do I continue to be the biggest douchebag in the world?

And I would be cool tanking for any one of the guys they got, maybe two when Embiid got injured. But after 2 seasons, you need to (in my eyes) at least TRY to put a competitive team on the floor. Asking your fans to sit by while you get blown out by mediocre teams every night for 3 straight years is not something I would be cool with. And as a free agent player, I would never want to play for an organization that employs that kind of mentality.

That's tough. But I guess Chad Kroger, in his mind, thinks that Chad Kroger is the coolest dude ever, and probably has an entourage that agree with him...kind of like Justin Bieber who, to be honest, seems like he's trying to clean up his image, too.

Trick is fantastic. I have a soft spot for Duke because it was my first exposure to Genesis and it hooked me hard.

Philly area guys may remember this - back in the day, on Sundays WMMR (I think that was the station) would play seven albums in a row, uninterrupted. I'd have my cassette deck ready to go. Free albums!!! One Sunday Duke was on the list. It blew me away.

If you watch the concert video "3 Sides Live", part of it shows Phil in a music station studio in Philly, either MMR or YSP, taking calls from people. Part of that video was shot at the Spectrum. (all of it , maybe...)

I think the expectations were laid out pretty obviously, so no one was forced to watch them or play for them (for the most part). It isn't Hinkie's fault either...it is ownership that allows something like that to happen. He did the most with what he had, I feel.

If I were Hinkie, or the Sixers owner, I would have just announced that they were forfeiting every game of the season(s). Much easier to deal with, and you save money.

Sure it is. Just don't fill out the roster and/or show up to games.
